History is my worst subject and I have always failed to remember who is who and who did what. I'm in college now and this is more helpful than almost every sixty minute lesson I have spent in my high school history classes. Short and easy to understand. Thank you, sir.

you failed to mention, a portion of the indentured servants were black. you were correct about the indian uprising getting things started, and also correct about the indentured servants rising up against the arstocrats once they were freed due to unsatisfactory treatnent. both black and white indentured servants would riot together, and they were successful in attaining rights through riot. the aristocracy wanted to discourage the mingling of both black and white indentured servants to cause riots, so they came up with the virginia slave code of 1710, which is what caused the beef that exist to this day between the races, by instituting slavery, classifying the slaves by color made identification easier, so they made the blacks the slaves. after a period, as you mentioned they saw this really worked, and that's the begining of the african slave trade.

Irish indentured servants outnumbered black slaves as much as 5 to 1...you didnt mention that either

According to my original 1877 textbook, bacon was a lawyer. A later textbook printed in 2015 says he was a planter.

Well , I am searching family History and my 8th great grandfather was said to have been killed in this Bacon's Rebellion...And growing up I thought there was no hope for my family history and had NO interest in History till I did my DNA and found roots back to William Wallace. ....What a VERY SMALL WORLD

Indentured service failed on other levels too. It was much easier to Id African slave runaways than Europeans. Most of the fugitive slave laws originated from indentured European runaways. Hollywood, where many of us unfortunately learn our history depicted this period of history once, Captain Blood, the film that made Errol Flynn a star in 1935 at the height of the Great Depression when American citizens we're at their most disillusioned with the powers that be.

I believe that the English/Irish Crosses came over as indentured Servants ! Then moved over to the Nashville and Kentucky area !! We were landed poor subsistence farmers, share croppers but never slave owners !

A lot is missing here. Check out 'A People's History of the United States' by Howard Zinn for all the rest...

What about the result of the rebellion and white privilege? you dont say anything about race and many argue that this event was the most significant in socially constructing race in the United States.

Disgraceful. You conveniently left out the frequent murderous raids on settlers by natives in what was a mostly empty wilderness. The savage natives were proud of such murder and sought the genocide of the settlers such was their savage version of "ethics" . Beacon's rebellion was motivated by a desire for security. Twelve more settlers were murdered when they went to make their appeal for help. The truth means nothing to you.
