Cranberry sauce with a much needed twist

  • How to elevate your cranberry sauce by adding fresh ginger and leeks. You’ll want to eat it by the bowl full so make lots!
    Recipe
    2x 12 ounce bag frozen or fresh cranberries
    1 large leek (white part only) washed and cut thinly
    1 large nub of ginger (put more if like ginger) peeled and minced or grated
    4 cloves garlic (use more or less) crushed
    1 cup orange juice or water or a combo of both
    1 cup sugar ( if you like sweet add more; or less if you don’t like sweet)
    Simmer for about 30 to 40 min stirring on occasion

    Yummmm....can I add cranberry juice instead of orange juice? Kick it up a notch

      Orange and cranberry is a classic combination. But yes you can use crab juice no problem
