It is a beautiful piece. The several textures and layers of clay compressed is so nice to experiment with. Thank you so much for this tutorial.

Oh my. I just happened upon this video. How refreshing. I love texture and I'm constantly struggling with how to create more depth and layering in a composition. This video was so helpful. I will share with all of my muddy friends! Thank you!

Inspiring ! Thank you so much, I am going to look for one of those texture rollers very soon and Really must try the layering. I have seen the layering in finished products before but didn't know how it was achieved. Nicely done indeed !

I found a neat trick. I make soaps, candles, Melts and Natural Body Products for my business and I’m starting to make my own soap dishes from air dry clay, anyways I tried a few days ago to mix white craft glue into a little bit of Mica powder and it coloured and stayed on the soap dish even when getting wet and doesn’t rub onto the soap nor does it Colour run when wet.. i also make coloured clay water wash which is also great to use
so there’s a neat trick you could use,

Hi David, I have admired your work for a long time. Just beautiful. Question, if you were buying a new slab roller today, which one would you get? Or, are there certain features and quality you would look for? Thank you!
