Philadelphia International Airport - February 10, 2024

This video encompasses a trip to the Philadelphia International Airport on a cloudy and slightly chilly Saturday afternoon to test out new things. PHL was utilizing Runways 27L and 27R with some arrivals and departures off Runway 35. A couple departures from 27L begin the video with the remaining portions of the video being 27R arrivals, shot between 12 pm and 3 pm. As you all know, PHL is one of several hubs for ‪@AmericanAirlines‬, with focus city operations by both ‪@flyfrontiervideos‬ and ‪@spiritairlines‬ operating many flights out of PHL daily in addition to the flights from ‪@Delta‬, ‪@SouthwestAir‬, ‪@united‬, ‪@jetblue‬, ‪@aircanada‬, ‪@BritishAirways‬, and others. Also, there's two nice surprises in this video...
The video is the first of several videos that will be shot from PHL and a few other locations before I start filming airshows. As stated in the previous upload, I had built a contraption in which a pair of iPod Touches would be mounted above the video camera and recording. While I'll share the video taken from the one iPod Touch under Shorts, it needs work; both sit too high and while I can solve the portrait iPod without issue, the landscape one will need some additional thinking.
I had also invested in a new video camera and so far, I like the results. I do need to get more practice in with it in different outdoor settings and with different subjects as well as investing in additional equipment for it. The beginning segments of this video could be ignored as I tried to figure out the camera with the contraption on top while filming a departure or two. I got the hang of it for arrivals, but again, this needs work and I need to get comfortable with the new setup before it goes on the road.
