    I have it, and it's amazing. Feels premium, and is surprisingly very comfortable

    Bought mine a month ago and I love it! I use it in 2-3 hour stretches. It came with the soft tape to put on the bottom. I bought mine on Amazon. I am a writer and love how I can lean forward to write and then rock back to think. Thanks for this great review.

    I just gone mine, but when i wiggle side to side, it makes some cracking noise. Does that mean the screws are too tight or not tight enough? Is it normal?

    What is the seat height? My issue with the chair might be that it sits you too low.

  • @Oitaben

    what table/desk height would this be most compatible with? My table is like 30 inches tall.

      i find a sit-stand desk offers the adjustability needed for the different positions. kneeling needs like 6 inches more than rocking or sitting on the variable plus version of this

    hi i saw a 2nd hand version of this chair advertised online. Apparently it has flame retardant added to it as required by UK law. Will importing the chair from abroad avoid these chemicals or if thats not possible is there a kneeling chair available that doesnt have toxic chemicals?

    I'm 5' 1", will this fit me? Too big?

    • @d0nj03
      @d0nj03 2 роки тому +1

      Too big. I would only recommend this chair for people in the 5'9"+ category, even with the additional spacer blocks that go under the shin pads, if you can find them. I got them at the same store as the chair and still found it wasn't as good a fit as I would've liked at 5'6". In fact I doubt it even fits the guy in the video well enough to completely avoid knee pain, I don't like how close his knees are to the pads, you also want to avoid pressure on the tendon below the kneecap, not just on the kneecap itself.

      If everyone knew how an MSRP is really determined, people would be making their own furniture.

    • @btodtv
      @btodtv  3 роки тому +6

      The price listed in this video is not MSRP, it is a dealer price. The MSRP is higher than the price listed. I think the car industry has made people pretty savy about what MSRP is.
      I think that most people understand that they do not have the means or capability to produce a piece of furniture like this. After considering the material costs, time investment and the fact that most people have no idea what they are doing, then I think it becomes an easy choice to buy from a company that specializes in the product. I think this is why most people buy almost all of the things they own instead of make them. -RB

    this chair ergonomic chair what is better than normail office chair like Aeron chair or embody from Herman miller beause i decide to choose Herman miller or Varier thx you

    • @slurpman1487
      @slurpman1487 4 роки тому +1

      The embody is far superior to the Aeron. You just need to set the upper back on full looseness and set the chair on full recline when you sit in it and then adjust the recline to desired position.

    With a backrest would you say this chair is good for working 5-8 hours straight?

    • @btodtv
      @btodtv  4 роки тому +4

      For the vast majority of the population, I would say no. This is a great chair to mix in with the use of a standard ergonomic chair and standing desk (if possible). In our office, only one person uses this daily and it is mixed in with two high ergonomic stools and a standing desk -GK

      You're better off standing most of those hours and using this chair for breaks. I work 8-10 a day and I'm telling you standing is the way to go.

      @@kaszapnagypeter As long as my posture is right and I take breaks properly, no. I wear hiking socks while working from home. Most comfortable things while standing at a desk.

    $400 for a bent lamination chair? And $200 extra for a backrest? High end chairs like the Aeron have all kinds of fiberglass nylon, proprietary fasteners and joints, gas struts, and high strength fabrics for the same asking price.

    • @btodtv
      @btodtv  3 роки тому +12

      I think that calling it a "lamination chair" is a pretty unfair considering how much research and development has gone into this chair and the success it has had for the past 30 years.
      The Aeron sells right now for $1,395.00 with the adjustment option selected. The Variable Balans currently sells for $349.00. The Aeron is more than triple the price. -RB

      I'm a garage woodworker. I'll say $350 is at a point where the difficulty, materials, bending jig, hardwood veneer sheet and waste would be about break even for a novice doing 1. But making 2 or more would be very cost effective. One man could batch out 20 pretty quickly once the bending jig and steam box is set up. But $200 for the backrest is a lot.

      400$ for an Aeron? used, maybe.

      There's an undeniable surcharge for this being a Scandinavian design by some Peter Opsvik guy. There's not much objective reason for this construction to cost this much, and it gets even more absurd when you look at the Gravity.
