Canyon Coaster 1st Time Ride in Red Deer | Alberta's First and Only Alpine Coaster

Hi everyone! Time for another adventure! This summer, we had the incredible opportunity to experience the Canyon Coaster at Canyon Ski Resort in Red Deer, Alberta for the very first time, and WOW, what an adventure it was! 😍
The Canyon Coaster is Alberta's first and only alpine coaster and it winds through the breathtaking landscape of the Alberta foothills, offering a perfect blend of thrill and scenic beauty. From the moment we hopped onto our carts, we were in for a treat. The ride begins with a gentle ascent, giving us the chance to soak in the stunning views of the Red Deer River Valley and the lush, green canyon.
As we reached the top, the real excitement began! The coaster’s track stretches over 1.4 kilometers, featuring exhilarating drops, sharp turns, and an array of twists that made our hearts race. The best part? We had control over our speed! Whether we wanted to zip through the turns or slow down to enjoy the scenery, it was all up to us.
The summer season added an extra layer of magic to the experience. With clear blue skies and the sun shining brightly, the entire canyon came alive with vibrant colors. The lush vegetation and the sparkling river below created a picturesque backdrop that made the ride even more enjoyable.
We couldn’t stop laughing, screaming and cheering as we glided through the turns and raced down the track. The adrenaline rush combined with the beautiful surroundings made for an unforgettable ride. Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie or just looking for a fun outing, the Canyon Coaster offers something for everyone. It’s a fantastic way to experience the natural beauty of Red Deer while enjoying an exhilarating adventure!
Safety is also a top priority here. The coaster is equipped with a high-tech braking system that ensures a smooth ride, no matter how fast you choose to go. Some of the turns looks a little scary but we felt secure and confident throughout our ride, which allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the fun.
