- Earlier this week, a staggering 10 inches of rain fell in Dubai, the most the UAE has seen in a single storm in 75 years. The rainfall shuttered schools, destroyed homes and cripped Dubai International Airport, which is the world's second-busiest hub. Many roads remain flooded in the aftermath of the deluge as emergency workers tried to assess the damage to homes and businesses.

in a city where there is no system for liquid waste drainage.. they use hundreds of trucks to get liquid waste from buildings and dump them out of the city... the biggest pain point for them turned out to be the heavy rain now they have to use thousands of trucks to suck out the rain water from the city ... it can take more than 15 days to do this........
