The darkening of the screen and highlighting the augments as you talk about them is such a small detail that shows the extra work put in to these kind of analysis videos. I think the thing I have learned the most from watching the VODs you do with commentary is how to position better. Learning how to focus fire a carry or base my units so that I can focus a certain part of the board has been a huge win for me. Slowly making my way out of Gold which I've been hard stuck since SET 1!!

I got 8 Sentinel last night, with my entire frontline 2*, fully itemised Headliner Blitzcrank and Ekko, 2* Lucian (4 Rapidfire backline) with IE/Guardbreaker and fully itemised Caitlynn. Still ended 6th :(

I usually play 6 sentinel around ksante or garen reroll, preferably both. Both of them are surprisingly good if 3-starred and properly itemized. I think the most fitting backline carry would be caitlyn, cause you got 8-bit already. I have played around 2 big shot, 2 rapid fire, 6 sentinel and 3 heartsteel, too. Works it pretty well.
Every since the start of this set I've loved playing sentinel just because I'm a Mordekaiser main in lol, if I ever get the crown guard augment then I hard force Mordekaiser headliner and give him 2 crown guards + superfan crown guard, his head liner effect gives him permanent ap on ability kill and with all those crown guards he does well over 4k damage to everyone (no stacks) with a 2k shield every time he casts. Stacking 6 sentinel, 3 pentakill and 3 kda makes him a 1v9 machine, although I have never faced off against a stacked 3 star 4 cost, I have never lost a game once I hit even against pre patch jazz mf and fast 9 2 star 5 cost teams
My initial question is what about Akali/Karthus, I remember at the start of the set I would always play a super strong frontline and a dps in the back. But would always get rolled by Akali when it’s a top 3 situation. I wonder does the 6 Sent give the back line enough tank for them to ignore Akali.
And then you go fast level 8 and miss your roll down because Ahri/Blitz are 2 of the most contested 4 costs and in any respectable elo you'll be 3 way contested every other time you try playing this.
when you're talking about augments in a video about a player from another region, you should put the augment description in english, not everyone knows augment names from memory, and in my case my game is in spanish so i sometimes don't know what the augment u are mentioning does :(
Akali Karthus is horrible into it as Ahri doesnt get one shot and will one shot the Akali when she dashes back to frontline and gets stuck. Ezreal is a bit more RNG dependent on where he dashes and when he gets targetted. It really depends on what frontline the ezreal has in front of him and if he kills sona before she ramps Ahri enough to carry. Lux 3 is easy enough to dodge getting your Ahri lasered and you should be able to focus down the zed backup carry before it becomes a problem. Overall the comp is extremely unpleasant to deal with if the ahri has gunblade + mana gen from blue buff or Shojin. Adaptive is useable but much worse as once u get sona the shojin+attack speed really stacks up as well as the insta cast of blue buff instantly blowing through frontlines.
Great vid, but just personal take; feel like you cut away at some points I would've liked to see a lil more of, like the first loss, some item switches, etc. Just some cuts felt too fast for me to keep up on comfortably
Spare ur gold, enough at 30++ even AFTER a pivot. Generally, pivoting headliner are enough at 6 or 7 up to 8. Lastly, dont afraid to pick tanky headliner
I've been using this to climb up in platinum. I am literally hard-forcing this comp every game. Just don't know if it's viable past that (hard force every game) Also, I lost LP trying out different backline (RapidFire Cait, Disco/Dazzler TF, EZ Big Shot) and it doesn't seem to "gel" as much as spellweaver. I think it's the K/DA that makes the huge difference.
Hard forcing definately gets punished hard in emerald+. However, this is a great tech if you're in a good scaling position with HP items/Augments. I'm intrigued to test this with a Caitlyn or TF provided my items allow for it

Nah this shit already in every asia server lobby. Easy top 4 comp. If you get early ahri its pretty much gg for others. Had a game where 3 of the player try to force it and the one with ahri come top ahead. The other 2 got like 3rd n 4th.. decent build but can get counter by 6 TD or jax mosher with decent item and augment
Bro you are great but come on another insanely multi giga high roll game? The guy got a blitz at 3-5 and then INSTANTLY gets Ahri headliner at 4-1 I mean my mother could win the game at that point oh and guess what he gets Bulk at 4-2 when he was already aiming for Ahri Sentinels comp. Insane highroll, NOTHING to learn here. I have rolled about 100G at 8 just to get a total of 2 Ahri's and end the game with Ahri 1 star for reference.
Yup. The Comp is super broken, but since 5 or 6 people each lobby are contesting ahri or blitz, you're gonna miss you're lvl 8 roll down more often then not and go bot 4.
nah its a melee carry meta which automatically puts ahri akali up more for the burst and postioning options akali doesnt do enough damage usually in late to a ahri with gun blade and even a nashors with a blue that akali will get deleted
It's especially good into akali and qiyana as ahri burst them down super quickly. As long as you can dodge qiyana2 hitting your main tank to spread items the fight is usually over before they can do much

Hitting bulk 3 is definitely a green flag to pivot to 6 sentinels.
Not to mention bulk 3 extremely good with veritcal 7 kda x2 hp for KDA champ

if you can't find a good sentinels frontline, you can actually use headliner poppy instead! She's a beast midgame, maybe enough to carry you to top 4

Just a tip, generally speaking you don't wanna stack crownguards on 1 unit, better to spread them out.

KDA Akali/Karthus stonks do go up because of this. Backline assassination can win you game
it's just a situation of rock-paper-scissors rn: 3 kinds of comp counter each other

Literally tried this and got 5th, prob cuz its a Prismastic lobby and no HP augments but it actually works I used K/DA Ahri Jhin backline

You have many other augments you can pick like Inspiring Epitaph, Martyr, Remember Your Roots, etc.

Did you watch the vid? He beat 6 true damage in the last fight, a pretty capped 6 true damage at that.
