How Alternators Work

In this video I am going to explain how a charging system in a car or truck works.
I will outline and explain the purpose of operation of each part within the alternator.
The video, as well, will explain how the alternator is tested and will examine the following parts:
the stator, the rotor, the voltage regulator, brushes, condenser, rectifier, diode trio and slip rings.
This video is meant for both instructional purposes as well as to help you test your own alternator. For ease of demonstration, I will be using an older style Delco-remy Alternator which is easily disassembled and reassembled.
