Americans (and Brits) might be patronising about our storm chasers, but with global warming their experience may become increasingly valuable, as the chance of serious tornadoes rises. I vividly remember the Birmingham Tornado of 28 July 2005, in which we were extremely lucky not to have had fatalities.

I do think one day in the future the uk could get another 1981 type Outbreak but the difference is that the tornadoes will be stronger then the ones on the 22th of may 1981 because of the increased levels of instability due to higher temperatures.

May I ask where you got the maps and CAPE values /dew points/instability etc at 0:25 ? I've been trying to track them myself in the UK but haven't found a place to yet. (Great footage btw!)

I think I was camping near Budleigh Salterton that night and we had a storm like I’ve never heard before during the night! It was so loud but somehow I woke up towards the last 10 minutes of it so I didn’t get to see much annoyingly
