During their exile, when Sita sent Rama to fetch a fawn as a trophy for her, resisting temptation to judge by today's standards, all I can do is like to think that today someone in her position would have sent her partner to shoot the fawn with a zoom camera and record its sounds for generations to enjoy, instead of spilling its blood with any weapon.

Great story although I thought today you will end it 😃😄. No worries.
1) The logic given by Gujarat government to Supreme Court was that Tigers from Sariska use Kuno Palpur as a corridor to come to Panna etc, bcoz one or two tigers were found doing so. Hence it was argued that If lions are re-introduced at Kuno Palpur , it may cause conflict with tigers 😂. Real reason known to most people is that 1 person has made this as an ego issue saying "Gir Lions are the pride of Gujarat ".
It was reported that earlier Iran had demanded Gir Lion in exchange for Asiatic Cheetahs, which was refused due to same issue. Hence we went to Namibia & South Africa.
