Trust is earned, doing this with colleagues and giving them the benefit of the doubt will help you build trust and allow you the chance to trust hem. My opinion is give it a try and let them gain your trust.
I don't trust anyone and that included my colleagues. I've learnt from bitter experience that everyone legs you down eventually. My employer had a team building day and to get out of doing it I booked holiday.

The problem with the blindfolded games are they don't build trust they test it. I would not do any of these with people i don't already trust.
