When you realize, vaas is by his own definition insane, as he keeps trying to kill jason expecting him to not escape that time
Also mikes quote abt creating vaas is amazing
But notice how he comes up with new ways of killing him? Like tying him up to a brick and trying to drown him, burning him alive, even straight up shooting him.
Ye, thats the point, he knows what insanity is and embraces it.
And he got reverse card by his own insanity.
Vas is the best
"The best villain is the most relatable villain" Man this is the best quotes, and it perfectly fit for Joseph Seed, no wonder why he got the role in FC5
Joseph seed is my fav

@@matthewhager270 uh...apparently so
@@matthewhager270 nah probably cuz he’s white
Sorry for writtes mistakes
So in a way we have Michael Mando to thank for giving us this Far Cry formula of the villains being so iconic because of such as great performance in an audition.
Imagine going to an audition and be like “Okay the villain is gonna be like this” and have Ubisoft scrap their original idea. What a legend

-Walks into interview
-Doesn't follow the script and makes his own lines
-Refuses to elaborate further

Michael Mando is a gigachad
Well like they showed u, FarCry 2 already tried all of that.
Giving the player a new angle to look at the world and their actions.

Beeing hell as interesting and the centre of the story.

Greg played Joseph so damn well that it scares me to look at him in real life. Everyone loves Vaas but Joseph had so much depth to him.
And the glasses too they’re so pimp lol
The fucken glasses are thicker than a brick and remind me of those serial killers or pedos from the 1970s or 1980s
He also had wayyy more scenes and dialogue. Vaas was kinda the side villain in 3. Holt was really the big boss vaas was basically a general
He was kinda the worst character ngl
its the eyes,,, your scared watch but cant turn away either
It's nice to have the confirmation that The Jackal was intended to be Jack Carver all along, it would be interesting to see him return in some form in another game to see how he fits in this new version of Far Cry's universe.
It’s the Jack from the instincts iteration
Hopefully he'll be in 6 🤞
Imagine a far cry game where we play as him.
The jackal had presence in far cry 3 and 4. He is the arms dealer, you can hear his stories from the npcs.

The Jackal's and Pagan's VA sound like professionals doing their job

Joseph's VA looks genuinely unhinged

Im amazed if Jim Carrey wont be a side character in one of theese
Anthony Starr(Homelander) as one of 2 villains maybe?
Wow yes
Hark! Harrrrrrk!
I'd have loved if the alternative ending of FC4 gave whole other story line playing on Pagan Min's side
Might get that in FC6 DLC
That would be great.
Everyone wanted that.

Troy Baker defending Pagan Min is the most Troy Baker thing ever.
Pagan was a great villain

Pagan Min is by far my favorite Far Cry villain (yet) and one of my favorite villains of all time. Love the rest but something about him really stuck out to me. Definitely looking forward to Giancarlo's performance in FC6.
Pagan was a great antagonist…some may argue protagonist…when you finally got to see the true faces of Amita and Sabal.
But let’s see how well Anton, the *second dictator* to a Far Cry game, does against Pagan.
I've played farcry 6 for 2 days now and anton just like pagan is a dictator but they both have different goals and personalities
Anton was AWESOME
Yay pagan is the best
Pagan was a dictator but he had no issue with the main character

Joseph Seed is one of the best villains in video games, not just Far Cry series. Greg Bryk really knew what he was doing.

Insanity *
The moment that sticks with me forever is when you walk Joseph Seed to the helicopter at the start of the game. His completely neutral demeanor towards being arrested, his followers crying out - you felt like you were doing something you weren't supposed to be doing. Like arresting Jesus.
😂😂😂😂
Michael, Troy, Greg and Anton are master minds when it comes to getting into the head of their characters. No wonder they did such an outstanding job. Say what you want about Ubisoft but you can't deny the fact that extremely talented people are giving their all in every game they make. Their games are repetitive, yes, but they are never bad.
Giancarlo, not Anton.
Also, Giancarlo has done that for years as Gus in Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul, Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian, & Mr. Edgar in The Boys.
Joseph Seed was performed AMAZINGLY!
This is really well made, a lot of work must have gone into it.
Thank you very much and you're right! - Dale

Hot take: pagan min was a better villain than vass, he was just better written and has more interesting motivations.
And because pagan is the king of the country there’s more at steak compared to how vass is controlled by high powers.
Greg did an absolute phenomenal job as The Father.
Jack carver deserved more recognition in the series
Only real fans of far cry will.
The best part about this video, is they smartly ignored Mickey and Lou
Even if Mickey And Lou we’re in this it would be 5 seconds, it would be them just saying. “Are you a problem solver, or Problem Maker.”
Ugh
Hahaha
Don't mention them
They were the only worst part of this franchise 😂😂
everybody while playing fc5:this bad man
Everyone at the end:😳 he’s *right*
He was and it shocked me. Everything he said was going to happen
"You can't break a man the way you break a horse, or a dog. Harder you beat the man, Taller he stands..."
Jackal is waaay too underrated
Hoyt too
Bryks performance was just so real. Not many other ways to put it, just so raw and perfect and real
To me, the key element isn't a villain that is charismatic, its one that makes sense in what they do or say. When we see a villain acting crazy without thought behind why they do what they do, they come off as one-dimensional because their actions seem to just be driven by their personality. For me the best example of an intelligent and introspective villain with personality stripped away was The Jackal from Far Cry 2.
From the brief scenes he appears in the game, combined with the in-depth dialogue from the cassette tapes, we get a villain who has specific methods for what he does, why he does it, and logical arguments to make the player think about his perspective. Very few villains in the games have made me sit back and reflect on the questions they ask and how it applies to the real world. Both in history, ongoing conflicts, and the future that will repeat it. For Ubisoft's first open-world experiment into the Far Cry formula, they created a flawed but immersive experience that makes you feel alone in a hopeless land in a conflict that is bigger than you; the villain being the only one to try and make sense of it.
VAAS IS A LEGEND
While Joseph may not have had a vaas sized impact on the player. No one can say Greg Bryk wasn’t fantastic in his role
Personally he had a farther impact for me then Vaas did.
As a character developer, I'll say Joseph Seed is a masterpiece 🤯
Vaas and Joseph Seed are the best villans so far.
Anton Castillo now for me
Vaas was for Far Cry what Hannibal Lecter was for Silence of The Lambs.
Michael Mando's performance as Vaas literally made me hate him and love him at the same time. He was by far the best villain any game to me. Far Cry 3 made me fall in love with the series.
Best Crab Rangoon I've ever had.
I'm excited for FC6, the lead writer seems to have a very clear and interesting vision

Yes, totally agree
Dude the Joseph Seed actor even has that crazy look in his eyes.
