Excellent and beautiful painting. I just did one but I didn’t like the background. I dont know whether to start again or paint over the background. Please can you tell me what dimensioms you have done here?

Is the 5 hour version 5 one hour lessons or one 5 hour session?

Hi ClearlyAnArtistAnimations, How do you mean? Where you hoping for an exact replica? If that's the case, then a camera does that.

    • @clearlyanartistanimations6915

Drawing & Painting - The Virtual Instructor Yeah. A camera does too. So does an artist. Can't understand how your painting skills are so godly yet the proportions and the angle are off by a considerable amount.

Hi again, I appreciate your comments. The point of creating art is to create something unique and different. We may use a photo reference, but the end goal is not to reproduce a photo. A reference is used as just that - a reference. We have the freedom to deviate from it as much or as little as we like. If we get too caught up in making an exact replica (which is impossible), we'll never finish anything. Every drawing or painting will have imperfections. You must learn to accept this and move on. The painting is not meant to be viewed beside the reference as it is here. You will never see art displayed beside the reference photo in a gallery or museum. It is meant to stand on its own. If you didn't have the reference to compare, like you do here, you would never notice the deviations from the reference photo.

Drawing & Painting - The Virtual Instructor True. Thanks for taking the time to explain all of it. I see it now. Sorry for doubting you. Good job on the art!
