I never had this phone ,but dk why I really like it .I think what's the best option to gain back control of Your life is to switch to phone like this nokia 3410 . Get rid of the tv and radio and Internet then They won't be able to control us . That's very simple.
Still using my 16 year old 3410 I have two of them. I pulled one out the drawer the other week after having an epiphany and realised how reliant we are on smartphones. I now use the 3410 as my main device for calls and texts and I have my iPad with a 20gb data plan if I need the internet on the move.
TJ Oh wow! How are you finding that? I guess it means you carry your iPad with you everywhere you go or are you just not that much of a heavy Internet user?
XALIRATE I tend to carry the iPad in my backpack and use it when I’m at work or sat in a cafe etc. The 3410 actually gets a lot of attention from people. What surprised me most is how it fired right up after sitting in a drawer for years with two bars of battery. I spent £3 on a charger from amazon as I had misplaced the original. I’m one of the few that actually prefers typing a text with a physical keypad.
TJ Ah, fair play and yeah I’m not surprised at the attention it’s getting. 😁 I could never go back to a physical keyboard; takes much longer to type things so I couldn’t go back but the 3410 is awesome!
Just to update this the 3410 has had a replacement battery I have now gotten rid of the iPad the only time I use the internet is at home. I did buy the new Nokia 8110 4g but found it inferior to Nokia's of old. I do not use the message tone anymore as it really gets annoying. I tend to do much more people watching on my work commute I was on the tram yesterday and I was the only person without my head buried in a phone it's a very strange situation. I don't think smartphones are bad per say I just think what people use them for us unnecessary social media has ruined 2 generations.
XALIRATE memories were the definitely best :) I remember debating what texts to keep cause you could only store 10 messages!!!!! (if my memories serves me correctly). Nowadays we are spoilt. Thanks for the memories. Peace.
My first ever mobile phone was also a Nokia 3410 about 20 years ago. Loved it so much, and I really hope to get one soon from the flea market just for collection purposes! BTW, I currently use a dumb phone, a Nokia 5310 (2020), after using smartphones for 10 years. Nice video, congrats!
@@XALIRATE switching from a smartphone is great, I have more interest in real life human connections. Besides, I can take my laptop with me anytime I want to go online, I don't need a small display for that.
That was my own first phone too. I had old BT Cellnet Philips phones (museum pieces, literally here in Belfast) but this was the first one I bought with my own money. I wanted the next one up, I think it was a 3510i with a colour screen, but it was out of stock at Carphone Warehouse.
msblue1003 I’m pretty sure it will all come back to you when you have the phone in your hand. It’s super basic but you can probably find a manual somewhere online. I’m not sure. I really don’t think you’d need it though. 😉
Hi, awesome video! I am currently doing a research on retro phone model out of curiosity. Does old phone such as Nokia 3410, Nokia 3310, and Nokia 7110 has password feature? Or some sort of security pin function? I remember you can lock screen via simple button press (menu button + asterisk button, or something), but I can't remember if you can set personal password on these old phones
My first phone was the Doro 508 back in December 2014 and I'm planning to buy the original Nokia 3310 to use as a secondary phone. I currently have the BlackBerry Priv.
God only knows nokia cells i had in those analogue years lol! This is a reliable one but my favourite one still is the almighty 6310i. What are your thoughts about it? 😃

Romeoz06 haha yup we sure are spoilt today and you’re most welcome :)
My favourite Nokia phone.
Duszek Smsaczek Awesome 😁
XALIRATE It lacks GPRS, but I didn't need internet on the go. Instead of this, this thingy had CSD for downloading stuff.

Nice, I loved it too and that sounds like a plan. Nothing like nostalgia 🤓 Oh really? How are you finding switching from a smartphone?
Thank you 😊

That’s fair. Enjoy it 👌🏽
Recently found my sisters Nokia 3410 bought in 2003. Still turns on after not being used for like 15 years.
Old is gold 😀

Khurum Khan Thank you. You can always get the 2017 Nokia 3310 :)
My first phone ever...
👌🏽
It was my first one too, in the same color (later bought a cheap 3rd party black shiny cover for it)
Nice 👌🏽
Excuse me, I still have it in 2019, what is really yr point?
Christine Navubya There is no point, just showing a 3410 in 2017. It’s not exactly common anymore. 😆
That was my own first phone too.

i WANT TO go back to 3410... but i forgot everything about using it... anywhere I could unload a manual?

Thank you! No I don’t recall there being a password feature. I think there was only a SIM PIN that you could set up.
There is the universal 12345 old nokia code. 3410 you can go to security on settings and change that code to protect the phone itself
Greatvideo. Why do you think android is moving away from removable batteries?
Knowledge Most smartphones now come with non-removable batteries. It's becoming the norm now :)

Christian White Nice. The Nokia 3310 is a true classic 😁 What are your thoughts on the Priv?
XALIRATE Well the BlackBerry Priv is my daily driver and it is a decent phone with a physical qwerty keyboard
Christian White Cool. I used to love Blackberry’s and their qwerty keyboard. I used to own the Blackberry Curve 8900 😊
XALIRATE I love BlackBerry Android phones. I'm hoping to get the BlackBerry Keyone soon
Christian White Sounds like a plan 👍🏼
