I think for such a large rip, I would have preferred for the strip to sit on the outside and run from top to bottom, so it looks like a deliberate design element. But the esthetic has to appeal to the client, of course! Love, that you help people salvage damaged clothing, that would otherwise end up in the trash!
Yes. Sometimes, this happens when the fabric is too thin. This is why it's important to make the patch big enough to reach the good material. If you notice, I made this patch fairly big. Cheers 😊
Hello Hermana ! Did you use powdered glue to affix the patch? What stitching did you use to seal the patched hole, pls?? Thx kindly...I'm always looking for the next new method, process, or idea that's going to make me better, faster. Thx again for your reply -- take care. 💕
I could have done a much better job meticulously hand stitching that tear- no patch needed and you wouldn't see it at all from afar like the done prospective here. I'd have to point it out and hold it closely for ppl to see
@@stephanyjane Hi! The last thing I want it’s to sound rude to you. But the alteration you are describing doesn’t tackle the fact that the fabric is already very week. Furthermore because of the way the fabric is reaped, sewing it your way will change the way the fabric flows. I constantly get alterations of tearing that have been repaired using your method and they break again, very soon, either in the same spot or just beside because the fabric is already very weak. This is why the patch is sooooo important. Anyway, I think we all give more importance to different aspects of the same thing and I would never ever argue that one way is more proper than other. This argument isn’t productive. I do on my store what produce better results for my customers. I also avoid making what they complain for, from other stores, after all they’re the ones paying for the job. Again, please don’t take this the wrong way, I’m just answering as I feel you really need an explanation. I do what works with my customers and share it with the ones who can benefit from it. Cheers 😉
You're seriously doing God's work. I wish somebody would have showed me half of the stuff you have shown me in the last 30 seconds Would have been a game changer for me 🫶
That’s magic. I didn’t think that could be saved.
🥰🥰🥰
Indeed, very well done!
You always do such a wonderful job. I wish I lived close so I could just take my stuff to you instead of having to do it all myself! 😊
❤️❤️❤️
Wow! I admire your professional work - it's amazing and I so enjoy watching how you do things and learning from you!
Glad you enjoy it! 😊
I love how you’re able to get alterations like this done in a pinch! Very impressive :)
Thank you! 😊

What are you using to glue your patch fabric with?
Hi! I'm using hem fusing tape. Cheers 😊
Wonderful repair for the item provided. I would do this too.

Yes! I can see your point. Thanks for sharing 💕
What kind of glue? Also, I couldn't tell how the stitches went. You said along the grain. Is there just a million rows of stitches?
Hi! This video will explain how:

Thank you. I am now a subscriber 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for subbing! 😊
The original fabric is thin. Wont it rip around the patch? It's always the problem I encounter.
