    Jimmy Page, Steve Stevens and don't forget about Prince. Prince made other guitarists stand in awe.
    Oh.. and I can't wait until AI for grading. This inconsistency in grading is horrible.

    We all know AI will be more accurate than human grading. Just like instant replay and decisions are overturned. The question is if no card can get 10 as there will be flaws on every card to put down from 10 grade. example, Honus Wagner psa 8 Gretzky card, is known to be trimmed, but the hobby accepts the psa 8 grade... and no call to re slab to altered. The hobby is fine, it is a psa 8 and best card in hobby. the other example is the Gretzky OPC psa 10. it has rough edges and we know, OPC cutting blades were not good, thus rough cuts... but we accept that that is psa 10. if bad cuts for other cards and edges looked like the OPC psa 10 RC, we would nhot accept the psa 10 grade.. but for OPC, the hobby accepts.. if all the psa 10 or bgs 10 or 9.5 are re graded by AI and all get less than 10 or 9.5, no one wants their cards re slabbed to lower grades.

    1. Slash (his playing is effortless).
    2. Jimmy Page.
    Also you guys should check out Jake Kiska from Greta Van Fleet. Dude is old school and never changes guitars during his entire live show, just tunes on the fly and shreds!

    "I don't need an artist" - because AI is ripping off artists by the thousands. Touchy point for me with many artist friends who are absolutely having their work stolen to feed the AI knowledge base.
    Best guitarist:
    1) Jimi Hendrix
    2) Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple / Rainbow)

      AI is going to throw a wrench in everything, but I do not condone stealing work. There should be licensing agreements just like with stock photos.

      This man right here just said some powerful words it blows my mind at all the people in this hobby don't seem to understand the fact that this s*** shouldn't have been taken place from the 40s on, 😮 Let's be real it's not a fucking schmuck with a pair of scissors in his freaking hand.. this industry is a fucking joke.
      Over a 100 years and they don't know what the hell quality control is Let me repeat myself this industry is a fucking joke.

    What is the possibility of Fanatics or other card manufacturers using AI to produce perfect cards every time? Could AI help create cards that are perfectly centered with perfect corners and surface along with packaging that will keep them in that condition so 99.9% of the cards would grade a 10 basically killing off grading for new cards?

    • @SportCardMadness
      @SportCardMadness  20 днів тому +1

      I think perfect manufacturing is a ways off …

    I think discussions of AI obscure a bigger question in the hobby: why is grading such a 'black box' process?.. We know what they are supposed to be focusing on(centering, corners, surface, etc) but the grades are often baffling... and has many of us have reported, cracking and resubbing often results in wildly different grading outcomes(6 was 9 is my personal best and my Hendrix reference, too)... Are the PSA and SGC NDA's(how 'bout that alphabet soup, eh?) so tight that ex-graders aren't making money here at UA-cam walking through their process?(there are similar vids for comics).. I can deal with the occasional disappointing result but what may ultimately get me to walk away from the hobby is the asymmetry of info between submitters and graders... in short: 3 years back into the hobby and hundreds of cards submitted I should be able to predict with much greater certainty how a card will grade before submitting...

      And one other worry is that with all of the detail that feeds AI the grading companies could start using levels of detail that our human eyes can't really appreciate...

      It is surprisingly difficult to get ex graders on the phone. We pulled off Beckett but not PSA. I think they slab all their ex graders and store them in the vault 😂

    AI can help with verification of a card and maybe centering. AI cant grade edges, surface or corners. Need a human eye for that.

      Disagree. Graders already use tools like magnifying tools to look at cards. Won’t be surprised if PSA doesn’t buy TAG grading.

    • @LawrenceFZIII
      @LawrenceFZIII 20 днів тому

      I have to respectfully disagree with this. If AI can scan a picture of a skin mole today, it can certainly look for proper 45 degree corners and scratches on a surface

    • @trader5777
      @trader5777 20 днів тому

      A scan is not giving a grade. There are so many nuances to grading that a machine just cant do…

    • @andrewnull2594
      @andrewnull2594 20 днів тому

      @@trader5777 let’s pretend that AI can’t be taught to grade a card. The days of grading with human vision should be over. We have the technology to take high resolution pictures to determine the quality of the centering, edges, corners and surface. The main problem with this is getting a 10 will be almost impossible to achieve.
