Yeah, I was so bummed to hear back the Curry is $1250 for an auto. I am going to wait and once the market is flooded, I am guessing I can do better. I don’t do modern at all but I did want a Curry base card rookie auto which would put me out about $1700-2000 with the card!
Agreed, this gambling/break/repack bs is awful. I can't believe people are all over this... i also didn't expect DraftKings and any other gambling entity to become so publicly embraced.
12:14 the past had NO liquidity! You could sell for less to a dealer but eBay made the hobby profitable. It included the ability to use the marketplace to identify rare or scarce
84 Star printed off however many dot matrix printers on construction paper, and with an unknown amount of print runs…. IMHO it’s hot garbage…. It’s a pump and dump, glad you called it out!
Great video . The “star” guys are relentless too . They now have one of the groups “ UA-camrs “ belittling others for offering their opinion on this card. It’s insane . Like the Geoff initial (for the 101) deal the guy had OTHER OFFERS but took Geoff’s . Ok , sure , let’s go with that. And all of these private deals are setting artificial floors for the specific grade (and the below grade as supply is limited )
@@SportCardMadness same, I have no problem with the card , nor peoples love for any of the “rookies” . Just let people buy who do they love and stop with the shenanigans
going to comment even though i havent finished.... Curry pop report for psa/dna topps is 247. correct not rare. he signs alot pregame although sloppy autograph. also about the price for RC to get signed. Larry Bird is now $900, Oscar Robertson $4000, Magic Johnson $1000, Joe Montana $1000, Sandy Koufax $4000 and Joe Namath $1500. just some of the guys who have high RC prices. Nolan Ryan still the best deal out there for $75
I completely understand the thought of walking away. But once you know what you know, it’s also hard to walk away. 😁 IMO the hobby is the matrix and sooner you take the blue or red pill. 💊 Yes, modern hobby is gambling. Add that knowledge to what you know about the hobby and no one is regulating. Do you really want to walk away? 🤣 You’re both gamblers imo you just take better calculated risks in business. 😊
I haven’t been in the hobby long but the amount of people who cry about hobby “ethics” just screams a “get off my lawn” vibe. Maybe social media isn’t for you which is absolutely fine. Social media is a wild place that doesn’t play by “the rules”.
@@SportCardMadness That might be true but the title of the stream was “hobby worries” & not “hobby funnies”. I just notice a good amount of “collector” elitist attitudes towards new aspects of the hobby. I get it, I’m guilty of it when it comes to the current play style of the NBA but I don’t deny I’m doing it. It comes with age & is the 100% old man on the porch mentality.
Did you guys like this back and forth video format or do you prefer side by side?
I prefer side by side
Side by side please
side by side, but appreciate you trying something, and asking.
Side by side, you get real time reactions upon hearing statements. Great content.
I was at Ohtani's 50/50 game. It was absolutely incredible. I'm glad they made printed tickets available too.
In today’s digital world it’s so important to grab something physical when you can
Great pics on the music vids . The fighter jet video you’re thinking of from Van Halen is “Dreams”.
You nailed it

I do wonder what they will sell for and if people try to make money off of it. Like most signings people will be seeking the 8/10, 9/10 and 10/10.
