I'd recommend you take the belt cover off and clean all the grass that gets in there. My Timemaster is from 2018, and I replace the oil/filter every other year, haven't replaced the spark plug yet. I did have to replace a pulley and belt, and my blades. I only use Non ethanol gas.
Missed a gilden opportunity to scrape all that grass and mid that collects on the deck and sharpen the blades. Very important every year for health of the mower. Also warm the oil up first for it's thinner. Just a a couple tips
The Briggs & Stratton 5430K Oil Extractor Pump made the oil change on the Timemaster very easy. I definitely recommend buying one.

extremely helpful. thanks!
Glad it helped!
Just picked one up on Craigslist for 250. Been sitting but it starts right up. I am planning to do the maintenance soon, thanks.
Nice score at that price
do you have a fuel filter replacement video?
Sorry, unfortunately I didn't record that part

Keep extra filter plug on hand
20oz of oil
Don't forget the fuel filter
That stupid fuel filter has been a pain in my azz to remove.
I would have made a mess good aim.
