Also sorry for the audio in part 1. Didn't get to fix the echoing. Also wasn't completely sober during that section lol. Not really into the whole podcast/talking thing. I didn't really cover this but if you want 1080p60FPS gameplay, you need to record it as such. If the source file is low quality, it doesn't matter what you render it as, it will be low quality. You can't covert 30 FPS -> 60 FPS. It'll just create invisible frames and take up more data. Most settings don't matter too much in my opinion. Just make sure to set your bit rate as the same as what your clips in the video are. My 3-5 min videos are usually around 1GB-1.5GB in size as a reference. Also won't be able to answer every question, but here's my twitter twitter.com/ShotsofLoL
The artist at 31:10 is KNKL, check his(he should be a dude but don't quote me on that) deviant art, he has some amazing works and he also worked with riot for some time(can't remember when), anyway thanks for the tutorial, I really love your stile and Im trying to learn editing, your tips are so simple and effective it's unreal. Keep up the good work man, we love you :3
man, thanks for the inspiration. english isnt my main language so it was sometimes kinda hard to understand but you showed and explained it really good. And I have a question: were you like "confused" when you were a beginner at editing? because it looks like i have to watch everything step by step to understand it and do it myself.. well, i hope i get use to it. again: thanks man! :D
Sorry about that. I guess also my heavy California accent is hard to understand lol. Putting clips together and cutting them up was never hard for me. After Effects was the struggle in the beginning. I had a hard time with everything but after the first month I got used to it. I started from Sony Vegas so the interface was hard to get used to when I switched.
Nicetryian I mainly use Sony Vegas, can you edit stuff in After Effects and import it to Vegas or do you loose too much quality? Is Premiere way harder than Vegas?
ONE big thing, start small. For your first videos get the basics down and use minimal effects, and get more fancy the more expirence you gain. I had to learn that the hard way
Any tips on how to do the "slow down/speed up" effect? and make the screen pulse or bump on beat? I see tons of tutorials for sony vegas for the speed up and slow down using velocity, but i cant find any for Adobe Premiere :(
This video is very usefull even if you create montages for a long time... As for me, i didnt know about the wiggle option and did that using manual keyframes... Thank you very much, Nicetryian!
Please just tell me with what Programm u record Gameplays? I currently use Shadow Play but as u can see on my video, it doesnt look nearly as smooth as yours plus I used Sony Vegas for editing
I have a question sir, do you have any idea on how to stop youtube from crippling the quality of the video? I'm in the process of making a montage and I want the quality of it to be as good as yours but no matter what I try it just does not work, maybe its because I use sony vegas? But I just have never been able to figure out how to make it so the rendered video looks almost the same as it does when its uploaded.
Thank you so much for this, its gonna help a lot now that I am getting into montages myself :) I know you dont want to reveal everything, but I would love to see more
I have one question, do u edit video by video (play by play) in after effects, and after this u go in premiere pro and make the entire video in sync with the song?
Hi! May I ask if where do you get your bg music etc.? I am trying to create a montage but they say that I should follow the royalty of the music that I will use.
I have a question. When you do the first transition, and put in the numbers -960 and 2888. Do you know what the numbers would be when the footage is in 3840x2160?
Thanks for the guide mate but i have 1 question. How do u you get such good quality on youtube ?When i export my videos from premier pro the quality is great but when i upload to youtube it's kinda crap.I ask you this because the quality of your videos is epic xD.i use shadowplay to record at 60fps and max bit rate.My exported file size for 3 min video is around 1.1 gb same as u .Thanks in advance for the answer
Sorry if u explained it in your video and i didnt notice, but how do you get your after effects edits back to Premiere. Do you just CTRL+C and CTRL+V again? or do u really have to export and import it?
This is your best video I think! But seriously, thanks! :3 But can you make a video when you learn us how you RECORD peoples gameplay?? Would be the best!! Have a nice day! :D
Decent tutorial, but got a few questions; - whats the result of the workflow of Premiere pro and After effects? do you export the transitions of AE, or do you use dynamic linking? I personally hate dynamic linking but sometimes it seems like it's the only solution - why do you create an adjustment layer with a blur to create the motion blur when you can just enable motion blur in AE?
Can anybody help me out please, I think I searched all whole youtube content and all this shit. This guide actually best thing out there, but doesnt cover my question. So can I create preset for transitions in AE like yours at 12:00 really good, but it stupid to do the whole work every time, I cant believe that its imposible to make couple transition presets and just drag and use them in AE or PP. Can anybody help me with this out. I hope it possible :(
The adding of the icons is the thing I'm after.. since I am maining Zed.. when I R people etc.. but this shit way too confusing... I need a much simpler approach :'(
So I downloaded my replays via the League Client, and moved the clips I wanted that I recorded with the Clients built in replay feature, I got a program called Wondershare Filmora and it can't see my files in my folder I created but it can see my movies etc on my computer, will another program work or do I need to download replays off another website?
damn i mean i love your work and mine is quite crappy since i am still stuck to this 9-10years old rock of hardware that doesnt let me edit sh1t without perma crashing or lagging the sh1t out just when i wanna adjust colours but i was really hoping to pickup something i didnt know about just yet >o
I came back to this video after 4 years still so fcking useful, thanks man, i actually learned allot from it! Ty! I don't know what you do now a days but i would love to see it. Very well made video!
this is how it looks like for me in the graph editor: i.imgur.com/8A1oPpw.png theres no option for me to regulate the speed of how fast it starts and how fast it ends. help please
this video is great like all of yours. i really do miss your montages! ive got a question tho... if i record a play, i can chhose between direct camera, manual camera or bind it on my champ. in your videos the camera movement looks super smooth and i dont get how you do this. when i am using direct camera, it moves super fast and random around. when i am using the camera which is bound to my champion, it obviously follows my champion around but my champ is always in the center. in your videos the camera moves so smooth. i would really appreciate if you could tell me your secret :P thanks in advance
Many people will copy now especially the big youtuber editors like the carry. I don´t know if this was a good idea as your montages wont be special anymore because most people will be copying them. Anyway thanks for sharing you are the best editor
You explained every section really well. Learned great parallax effect for title, Good tracking spot and neat transition trick using graph editor. Overall amazing and inspirational tutorial thank you dude!
I drag and drop the clips that i want to montage and says unsupported format or damaged file. The file is .avi and is opened with windows media player. What is going on?
Hi Ian (is that your name?), thanks for this amazing guide. On the section about transitions, my graph editor looks nothing like yours. I've kind of figured out what mine does but it doesnt seem to be the same thing as what your graph editor allows you to do, i can only reduce the time it takes for the transition to execute itself, not the intensity with which it does it. I've searched on google but I can't seem to find a fix. Do you (or anyone in the comments) know how this "new" graph editor works or how to change it to be like the one in the video? thanks :)
When i try that transition the videos come from different directions. Please help me out i'm really mad right now i'm stuck at this chapter i can't do that transition
Great tutorial, however coming from Sony Vegas, it seems AE is a bit higher on the learning curve. I gotta get used to it but the things I can do with it is rewarding.
How did you get that curve at 10.45? Trying the program out for a second try since I got inspired from this video, but my ''curve'' isn't a curve but more like half a curve going from right to left. And I can't see the transition on my preview window. + when I render a 30 seconds clip it gets +10 gigs with bad quality. What am I doing wrong?. Thinking that I might need to tick a setting or two :D
I was having trouble doing that too, turn out theres a button below the graph that lets you change the graph type, and you can change it to 'Edit speed graph'. Not sure if you still wanted to know :P
Damn inspirational. Learned really much more in this one video than any other videos together. And made the first step: My new video on this channel. Have a look senpai :D
Thanks for tutorial man. Got stuck right on the transition part (10:00). Doing the exact same thing, and getting black screen between two clips in transition. FIX: did it by myself, got different numbers and it works. :)
I'm wondering where we can download the summoner icons like flash for example (27:00) is there any specific website? Great tutorial btw, really clear and easy to follow.
I tooked the same settings for my League Clip but it doesn’t look like the same like in the video. My clip is really looking awful. What did I wrong ?🤔
Man looking at this i really wanna switch to adobe... but then i have relearn alot :/ rip vegas Anyway thanks for the video, really apreciate that you used your freetime to make this :)
bro you still need vegas for alot of shit rendering it having smaller size when i finish my editing for my costumers i just render it and lets say from 10 gigs file renders it to a 1 gb file and you might need to cut gaming parts with it
new project -> scarra INSANE BLAZE IT CINEMATIC MONTAGE hell yeah here we go
420 SCARRA BLAZE IT CHALLENGER IN DEPTH CINEMATIC MONTAGE
xD
Man i got inspired as well
Yay, Thanks senpai
Synotik YOUR SKILLS ARE ALREADY OP AS FUCK BRO
I came here to learn how to edit like you Synotik!! xD
XDD
Glad you made this an explaination and not just "copy what I do", I hate that approach so much. Nice job :)
@Sylar i wont dw
so you have to use both adobe premiere and adobe after effects
Holy crap I learned SO MUCH MORE in one video than from months of research xD
YASSS BOI, you sure should :D
Really good beginner tutorial and a huge time-saver because i can simply send people the tutorial when they are asking about basics. :) tyvm
slap bunny fufu
Nicetutorial man,now i can edit like a god in Movie Maker :D
B4TB- BfourtyB Thought you stopped with Yt

Keep up the good work man, we love you :3
FYI, You can put the subtitle in auto-translate mode
What's your computer specs?
I was wondering if you could do a tutorial that covers skill icon pop ups(Like gosu's editor)
man, thanks for the inspiration. english isnt my main language so it was sometimes kinda hard to understand but you showed and explained it really good.

Nicetryian I mainly use Sony Vegas, can you edit stuff in After Effects and import it to Vegas or do you loose too much quality? Is Premiere way harder than Vegas?
You should be fine. When you render things in AE, you can do so with a lossless option. You just can't import/export things between the two programs
Thank you very much for answering. I love your montages and hope that one day I might get close to doing them as well as you do :)
Haha I actually found that out later, but it's just weird having been doing it one way for so long. The habit won't die lol
going from sony vegas to after effects is scary :(
finally i can learn how to make good montages
BUT U ALREADY DO MAN
you need sony vegas pro for that disable aspect ration rend the clip so no black bars then move it into the programs for montage
OMG !!! Love you love you so much Ian
ONE big thing, start small. For your first videos get the basics down and use minimal effects, and get more fancy the more expirence you gain. I had to learn that the hard way
Gonna be trying some of these tips on my next videos, thank you :D
Any tips on how to do the "slow down/speed up" effect? and make the screen pulse or bump on beat? I see tons of tutorials for sony vegas for the speed up and slow down using velocity, but i cant find any for Adobe Premiere :(

how to add motion blur in League Of Legends Video ?
The graph editor appears me so different, help me please :(
Always nice to have insight on how a good editor creates his video's even if it's not your 'advanced' work! Thanks for sharing!
Please just tell me with what Programm u record Gameplays? I currently use Shadow Play but as u can see on my video, it doesnt look nearly as smooth as yours plus I used Sony Vegas for editing

Dude just saw your amazing channel, got exited just by seeing your tsm video made the whole note for that, cant wit to make my own montage :)
The artist of this jinx wallpaper is Kienan Lafferty, search The KNKL Daily on facebook. Love the vídeo!
truly appreciate you showing us your talent! your work is phenomenal and i hope you can do more videos like this
all of you who have problems with the graph being in colors make sure you select all the marks in the graph and select fast graph
How do you take it from after effects back into premire pro?
Thank you so much for this, its gonna help a lot now that I am getting into montages myself :)
I know you dont want to reveal everything, but I would love to see more
Priest Uhhh nice Rengo Montage from Priest. Love you
I have one question, do u edit video by video (play by play) in after effects, and after this u go in premiere pro and make the entire video in sync with the song?
Hi! May I ask if where do you get your bg music etc.? I am trying to create a montage but they say that I should follow the royalty of the music that I will use.
Where do you find your music? I always struggle finding one that fits my video and one that I can monetize
I have a question. When you do the first transition, and put in the numbers -960 and 2888. Do you know what the numbers would be when the footage is in 3840x2160?
Why does my text get so pixelled when i make parralax it looks ugly and stupid...
Where do you find the music you use in your videos? Your soundtrack game is on point
Thanks for the guide mate but i have 1 question. How do u you get such good quality on youtube ?When i export my videos from premier pro the quality is great but when i upload to youtube it's kinda crap.I ask you this because the quality of your videos is epic xD.i use shadowplay to record at 60fps and max bit rate.My exported file size for 3 min video is around 1.1 gb same as u .Thanks in advance for the answer
depends with what are you recording what i prefer is recording on shadow play max settings and putting the file ino mp4 or media player
jinx artwork is from Kienan Lafferty
he used to be a splash artist for riot
has a youtube channel for art tutorials too
Sorry if u explained it in your video and i didnt notice, but how do you get your after effects edits back to Premiere. Do you just CTRL+C and CTRL+V again? or do u really have to export and import it?

Hello:D any tips on how to time my music to the outplays? For example I only have one music and 12 clips.. How do I time them to they jive together?
Many people will copy now especially the big youtuber editors like the carry. I don´t know if this was a good idea as your montages wont be special anymore because most people will be copying them. Anyway thanks for sharing you are the best editor
This is really dope when you learned it but I think it takes time to master all of this stuff
How do you get those blood splatters, wich you used in the Zed II Montage ? Could i get a link if possible ?
should I use a entire music(f.e. a 3:50 length song) for 1 single montage video? Any advice?
You explained every section really well. Learned great parallax effect for title, Good tracking spot and neat transition trick using graph editor. Overall amazing and inspirational tutorial thank you dude!

Done more digging! For anyone who has this same issue, in the graph editor screen click on Choose graph type and options and select edit speed graph
In between the transitions my screen just turns black could you please try to help me and explain what im doing wrong
When i try that transition the videos come from different directions. Please help me out i'm really mad right now i'm stuck at this chapter i can't do that transition
this video is good i think you covred all things about recording, well i don't need to do more searchs, that's enough for now :D
( 34:32 ) Does anybody of you know how to create the parallax effect in Vegas Pro?
How you instant zoom on adobe after effects? lets say yassuo channel, sometimes it zooms on his facem(web cam) instant
The worst thing is, even if we know how to edit like you, it's not original... So anyway we need to learn alone with a few tips to make our style
Great tutorial, however coming from Sony Vegas, it seems AE is a bit higher on the learning curve. I gotta get used to it but the things I can do with it is rewarding.
I would like to know how you go about finding the awesome music that you do. Because without a good song, the video isn't all that good either.
I come back to this video like once a year. It's great.
Is sony vegas pro good enough ? I mean, can you do all the things you did on sony vegas pro 13 aswell ?
One thing i like about your montages is that the songs are really good. can you share your playlist?
Nicetryian, what version of adobe premier pro is this?
Thanks for the Tutorial man! Making an ashe video that's coming on my channel tonight, and it's boutta look fresh asf because of you ;) !
3:45. I that the Rengar folder to the Rengar unchained legendary montage?
It's Finally Here The Gods Have Responded To Our Requests

i was just uploading 30s clips on my youtube channel xd
It thells me the file is not supported when i try to import.
i tried the vlc and windows media player players on.
the format is .webm
webm files typically don't work on any editing software as far as I know. You can try and find webm to mp4 converters online though.

U dont help me . I don't know how to add the "effect controls" folder . HELP ME PLSS
Damn inspirational. Learned really much more in this one video than any other videos together. And made the first step:
My new video on this channel. Have a look senpai :D
what music were you using for the transitions in this video?
Thanks for tutorial man.
Got stuck right on the transition part (10:00).
Doing the exact same thing, and getting black screen between two clips in transition.
FIX: did it by myself, got different numbers and it works. :)
Could u explain to me how did u manage to fix it?
it's based on your footage screen size, by pixels. set it to the width, in pixels, of your footage.
Can you some how save the transition you made as an animation preset?
This really helps a lot , where do u get your music for your vids?
Holy moly, that was usefull! Thanks!
hmmmm...
The song is K-391 - Earth [NCS Release]
knkl.deviantart.com KNKL is the artist who made the jinx wallpaper!
Thank you so much, this was so helpful !
I'm wondering where we can download the summoner icons like flash for example (27:00) is there any specific website? Great tutorial btw, really clear and easy to follow.
did u find it out?
I tooked the same settings for my League Clip but it doesn’t look like the same like in the video. My clip is really looking awful. What did I wrong ?🤔
what are you using to record?
Great tutorial. Will you be doing a Nidtage soon?
How is the song called you re using when you introduce your parts?

+Twitcher Really ? Ok I won't uninstall it then :D
THANK YOU! I´ve been waiting so long for this. Amazing work on all your vids bud!
That feeling when you watch the video but you already know you'll have to watch it again.
Will you ever make a tutorial like this with Sony Vegas?
I LOVE YOUR WORK
