11:40 that slow blink from Jill conveys a thousand feelings. She fell for him when they were teens and that flame has never dimmed.
I love that you pointed out and appreciated those smaller "transition" cutscenes so much. Because as much as I LOVE the big, bombastic, story-driven scenes in this game, it's those smaller, more intimate and casual ones that really stole my heart.
You said it perfectly, they feel so natural, which is a massive credit to all of the people who took the time to write them, block them, act them, film them, and voice them. Everyone involved brought their A game, and it shows!
These characters feel so real because of those moments, and the game wouldn't be what it is without them, in my opinion. No matter how many mind-blowing boss-fights it has. 😊

My top 3 FF games are 16, 10 and 7, in that order.

It's hard to say because stories/game play etc each hit different for each FF game. FF7Remake is easily my #1 overall though. 15 had an amazing story and meh combat. 16 had amazing combat and a decent story (characters were some of the best though), and FFX had my absolute favorite story and the ending is still my favorite to this day. I'd probably rank them:
