It's a long season yet; another 11 rounds with two races each. Very hard to predict, the new car seems to have given chances to teams not usually running at the front. Let's see if that continues...
@@harrisonturpitt It's not only about Stanek... I mean last year most (feature) races were contested between the two ARTs, the two Premas, Iwasa's DAMS and Doohan's Virtuosi. Now it seems any driver from any team can compete for podiums and race wins in either the sprint or the feature, except PHM 👀 The field spread in Formula 3 is a lot bigger. Feature races are contested between Browning (HiTech), the Prema's and the Tridents. The other teams like Campos, ART and MP cannot compete.
Maini had the pace but faced bad luck with pole disqualification and then SC in Australia. He is definitely up in the pyramid for sure.. for Bearman and Martins with so less points they need really excellent 3-4 weekends which is difficult with such a good drivers and Carlin, Invicta,MP, Campos showing good pace. My pic would be Maloney on top with Maini, Hauger, Aron in next level.
I agree he's had some bad luck, but alot of othet drivers have had even worse luck like Bearman, yea he wasn't on pace in the first weekend, but alot of drivers got screwed in qualifying by Fittipaldis crash, Maini got a time in so was okay. I just think by the time everyone is firing some drivers will have to fall out of the points, and I think Maini might unfortunately be one of those.
@harrisonturpitt very good point. Drivers like hadjar in Melbourne didn't get a final lap in quali because of the Red flag and he was basically on par with hauger and aron in the first push laps
The only thing i would change is swapping hadjar with aron. That being said, Maloney, aron, bearman and hadjar are all pretty much my main contenders. The thing with f2 is that drivers can easily be caught out unluckily by sc red flag etc. Also track to track there r gonna be teams with a slight advantage so i fully expect the championship lead to change between these guys come the business end of the season.

I'm not sure, from what I've seen he hasn't been better than his teammate in the races. I almost put them both above correa, but Cordeel came 5th in the feature at Jeddah which can't be sniffed at.

Oh that's really interesting, I usually don't get enough time to watch F3 but might give it a go next time out to see how it compares!

Barnard behind dürksen and cordeel it's just wrong! Barnard is extremely talented and him being last is just completely wrong
