While I do agree that this is best remake of Roy’s song and Don McClean has an amazing voice It still does not compare to Roy Orbison’s voice If you listen carefully to Roy’s voice singing this song he not only hits and holds all the notes But sustains them with a power No falsetto needed Roy Orbison probably had the greatest voice of all Pop/ Rock singers Roy’s voice was good that Elvis would not cover his songs out of respect. Truly amazing.
