Infant Loss | Men Grieve Too

This is the story of how we lost our first baby. The loss was likely due to Cervical Insufficiency, which caused our baby to be delivered at 20 weeks, 6 days.

We lost our first child, a girl, at 22 weeks. This was so much like our experience. That was 33 years ago and we always take her flowers in the spring and at thanksgiving we take a grave blanket for Christmas and winter. We now have a son that is 31 years old and we always let him know about her. We told him he made our hearts happy again. We are sorry that you weren’t able to keep your Evelyn Rose. I understand you and your feelings. Take care and enjoy those boys.
