Thanks Banocka, I'll be sure to continue to do that. I will say that I didn't quite have the lather dialed in for this video, but hope that the label of "first impressions" will cut me some slack ;)
This is a great scent. I didn't find the strength nearly as strong as you did but it's still a very nice scent. Agree on the cologne type take. Great shave and review, Jon!
I picked up Firefighter right when it was released and I love it! RAWR is my only other Noble Otter soap, and I love that as well, but I have to give a slight edge to Firefighter. I am new to Noble Otter so I can't comment on how their older soap formula preformed but I have no issues with it now. I have only bowl lathered with both. Great shave!
I love this soap and splash. I wish it was a 7 out of 10 on the scent strength for me. I found it to be about a 4 out of 10, one of the lighter scented soaps I have. Great shave and review video.
Thanks Dave, you know after talking with some people, my nose definitely perceives this as a stronger scent than most. I would say it's due to the strong wood notes in my case.
Agreed about the "soap base conversation". A lot of people agree that there isn't much difference between V2 and V3 with Noble Otter. I really like my V2 soaps and feel no need to go hunting for the new V3 ones.
Rawr for me is just OK but it will always be in my den because my daughter wanted me to get it because she went thigh a phase when she was younger where’s he would always say Rawr. This sounds like a scent I would like, you think firefighter will make the cut for your den?
Honestly, I have a couple of misses in my collection. I'm not in the triple digits like you, though, so I try to use the ones I don't love, just to use them. I will say that while I love most of the artisans out there, my personal list of misses includes Wholly Kaw's Denarius, B&M Hallows (I know you love it, but it's a miss for me), and A&E's Peach Cognac. They all are nicely performing soaps, but the scents just don't work for me. There is one artisan I avoid, but I won't mention their name because I don't want to diminish their brand at all. I think they make good products, but every soap I've tried (both shaving and bar) are duds to my nose. They had 1 product that's discontinued which I liked, but I should have noticed that their unscented stuff sells like hotcakes while their other stuff sells much more slowly. I've used that artisan's soap to clean paint brushes.
I've been smelling this Firefighter soap very closely, and I seem to detect Iso-e-super in this soap... anyone else pick up on this? Not sure if I will be able to use this, as the Iso-e-super note makes me feel queezy. I've also noticed the new AOS Sandalwood soap definitely has Iso-e-super present, and that one also, I just don't think I will be able to use it. Anyone know if the current cream formulation of AOS sandal has this chemical in it?
i like how you put the lather on and did a close up showing the stubble threw the soap

Sounds like a great scent.
Nice job Jon. I really enjoyed this offering from Noble Otter as well.
Thanks Chris, I definitely see this as a scent you could get on board with!
Well Cody himself said that V3 isn't really an upgrade. Just a reformulated version due to covid making it difficult to source certain ingredients
Thanks for the info Seth!
Awesome review John . As always
Thank you so much Alejandro!
I was excited for Atomic bay rum from PAA but didn’t like the smell, it’s one of my three soaps so I continue to use it. Great video!
Thanks for watching Alex!

Thank you Ross!

Thanks for watching and glad to hear you are enjoying your Firefighter and Rawr soaps!

I'd totally agree with that HD

That sounds like a great reason to keep Rawr ;) Yes, Firefighter is a keeper for me!
Ordered one as well, looks very promising and supporting a good cause. Just not a fan that many artisans started using tetrasodium eta in their soaps.
Hope you enjoy it!
Nice shave
Thanks for watching Samuel!

Thanks for sharing Ron! I'm glad to say I am no longer in the triple digits and gotta make some more cuts for sure.

Like but not love describes my NO experiences too. Cute labels tho
The labels are seriously on point!
