I missed this video when it came out! Thank you so much for all the love for Rumble, it's one of my favorite scents we've ever done. I think it'll get a much wider audience as perfume lovers are starting to try it as well! Be well and here's to a great 2024.
Great video! I am very happy with a few soaps I got this past year. Especially the Rex supply 1955 and 1966 soaps. They are old world mild barber shop scents. The 1966 is a little citrusy. I also love my the holy black new york shave cream.
Nice list Jon ! Some of my favourites are listed below (in no particular order) :- 1. Zingari Man - Amir (Pick this one up for sure) 2. Gentlemans Nod - Leather tabac 3. Lothur - Bourbon 4. House of Mammoth - Indigo ( yes, I'm very late to the party) 5. First Line Shave - Sutton Distilled
If you loved Rumble, you need to try By Kilian's "Black Phantom," a niche fragrance that I believe that this soap is inspired by. When I first smelled Rumble, that's what hit me and Black Phantom is JUST as good as this, if not even better with the rum and chocolate combination. Kilian fragrances are pretty expensive, but that's why I always get samples of fragrances to try before making full scale purchases. Nice list, man! 😊
@@Latherhog -- Before I got into shaving a few years ago, I was a lurker of the fragrance community. I know a LOT of fragrance UA-camrs, made text reviews of fragrances, interacted with a few owners (like George Zaharoff!)...I've been around. Justin Copeland, Ross Carlos (TLTG Reviews), and Marc Robetaille (Robes08) are some of my friends and people I interact with and I know SO many fragrances it is insane, lol!
So that was an oversight on my part for NOT addressing performance at all. I've said it on videos before, but as far as artisan shave soaps go, you almost have to actively look for a bad soap! I firmly believe all the soaps on my list are high-performing and wound up focusing on other attributes as I treated it as a given.

3. Gentleman's Nod- Bluegrass muse & Juniper reverie
4. Ariana & Evan - Stateside sonata, Yuzu, Limoncello
Thanks for sharing your favorites, great list there :)
I love most of these scents But long after the scent is gone is the quality of the shave. What brand gives the most protection?
The performance of all the soaps on my list are top notch, as far as protection goes, they all provide it.

Nice job! However, if you pick artisans of the year, there is more than packaging and scents. I miss talking about performance ?!
