34052 Lord Dowding and RAF Typhoon at Torbay - 11th June 2016

Footage of Old and New. The old representing by 34046 Braunton in guise as 34052 Lord Dowding hauling The Dartmouth Express to Kingswear, and the new representing the Royal Air Force Typhoon makng a special visit to The first Torbay Air show.
I decided to head to Cockwood Harbour for my first shot and as expected, quite cloudy when I got there. She whistled past through the harbour at roughly high tide within the mix of trains heading to Paignton for the air show.
My next shot I almost missed, due to traffic queues despite various Park and Rides on the outskirts of Paignton, it was quite slow around the town. I made it with minutes to spare and as you can see Lord Dowding slogs up the final climb in 1 in 60 up to Churston station before decenting into Kingswear. After that, I went to enjoy the planes doing their display and filmed the Typhoon around Torquay and Paignton.
I decided to try out Shaldon as the weather got very warm and sunny. She was slightly late, but she is seen in glorious evening powering her way towards Teignmouth along the lovely Teign Estuary.
My final shot was at Burlescombe. With the clouds gathering making the shot slightly dark, Lord Dowding is seen with great exhaust powering up to the final stretch to the summit at Whiteball Tunnel.
