- The WNBA did not televise Angel Reese's preseason debut Friday night. One fan decided to livestream the game between the Sky and the Lynx, and received 2 million views. Kaitlin Sharkey caught up with Reese to see what she thinks of those viewership numbers, what it means to be in the same Chicago rookie class as her friend Caleb Williams, why she wants Michael Jordan to come to a game, any new food she's tried in the city, and how she's feeling on the eve of her 22nd birthday

I wouldn't say "certain caitlin clark fans" because you're tainting the pot...it has nothing to do with caitlin clark. Most people would not argue that the wnba is not talented but that it is a toxic pretentious league. Everything in a bubble, people would rather watch men play basketball. It's not to say women's leagues can't be successful, women's tennis and golf are popular even though the talent disparity is the same. People love serena but she's getting smacked by good high school boys. The WNBA needs to eat humble pie and lower the rims or something and try to distinguish themselves from the men. It's not fun to watch women with like 15 inch verticals throw up weak layups.

It's not so much people hating on her but she had to transfer to win that championship. 2 Nobody outside of LSU fan's didn't even know who she was. 3 The thing that her noticed was following Clark around the court AFTER THE GAME WAS OVER and waving her hand in front of her face and pointing at her ring finger and saying yeah F&ck you to Clark AFTER GAME WAS OVER! YES Clark did it also but the difference is when she did it running down the court after making a big basket. 4 Reese honestly thinks she was the best player in the country. 5 She ALWAYS tries to make it about herself. She doesn't even realize that 6 team's passed on her and doesn't even know her own teammate Cardosso is so much better than Reese. She makes everything about herself and doesn't lift her teammates up instead it's look at me attitude people don't like about her. She needs to grow up PERIOD

Yeah; she signed a NIL deal w/ them back in college, although she was begging to become a JB athlete. Not sure the extent of that deal, b/c Clark also signed a Nike NIL deal in college, & there was a bidding war for her in the WNBA. Same w/ Aaliyah Boston; she signed a UA College NIL deal, but is now signed to Adidas, so just wasn’t sure if her NIL was actually a full contract.

Awl man Angel is so sweet. She’s a sweetheart full of life and positivity. I love that she always gives her teammates all of the credit. She knows that live stream of ppl watching was mainly her and kamilia fans but she said they love “US”, as n the sky team as a whole. This was a great interview, love seeing her personality and hearing her mindset and perspective on everything that's going on with womens baskball. I think this interview is great and she should do more like this. It completely showcases a different side of her that is much more likable than I thought before. I’m glad I saw this and have a different opinion now.
There’s so many interviews and press conferences like this…this is the Angel we all know and love. Please try not to conflate her on court personality (which I love by the way) with her off court personality. She’s always been sweet and media savvy. Go back and look at her interviews/press conferences at LSU & Maryland. She’s always sweet and personable which is why people love her. Don’t let the media (that skews things for their own agenda) lie to you. 😊
