I love the shot of the devil himself in the cage. As though in his attempts to trap the one he loves, he’s trapped himself in a cage of grief because the angel doesn’t love him back. In the beginning, he tries to literally cage the angel, but when the angel dies, the demon traps himself in grief because the angel told him, in the most literal way, “you will never have me.”
I love this and at the same time I’m very sad that both had a bad ending, but you can’t just put feelings on to someone else. You should try to be patient and be yourself, and be thoughtful and kind. You can see how the devil REALLY felt about the angel in the first few seconds...the angel literally was just a piece of artwork to the devil. There were no real feelings, just possession, but the devil called it love to give it meaning.

I honestly like how they interpreted the characters as angels and a demon. I don't mean in the literal sense (even though they are literally that), but the meaning of good and (bad in this case...evil seems to be a word too harsh for him.) The demon is frequently trying to win the heart of the angel who has turned him down, but in doing so he created a forced relationship. That want for a relationship turned to obsession for affection. He wants the angel to love him, and because the angel consistently rejects him, he turns to more life-threatening means by threatening the life of angel's friend, and possibly lover. (It reminds me of The Phantom of the Opera now that I think about it.) Anyway, clearly shown at the end, the angel kills himself to free himself from this cage. ALSO!! The fact that the angel actually got a bit of revenge in the end threw me. He took the flowers, which meant he 'finally gave into the demon's whims', but by gods he really said "sike."
This IS evil. He doesn't care about the blond angel. Imagine doing these things to someone you care about. Really imagine how sick this is. Believing this is love is horrendous, although I understand the empathy in seeing someone who "cares".

I love how there's symbolism and metaphors everywhere, the cage, the flowers/ offerings, the photos of the angel, the sculptures in the devils room, the window that overlooks the angle and the cage he's trapped in, and the death of the angel everything is a metaphor and represents certain themes and types of people and there behavior in toxic relationships The person or people who made this video did an excellent job of carrying out the themes of the animation, I loved the art style and colors used for this absolutely breathtaking.

"предложение" было отклонено откинутым в сторону букетом. демон же желал лишь положительного ответа от того, потому пошел на более суровые меры. кулон, ( если я конечно не ошибаюсь, и это был он ) включает в себя примерно то же, что и в букете. словами: " хорошо подумай, в самом ли деле ты отказываешься? " ну а если говорить прямо, то " у тебя нет выбора, а точнее тебе его я не дам. я желаю быть с тобой, но на твои чувства мне поеба- " исходя из всего этого - можно понять, что все в этой богоподобной анимации страдальцы.

0:02 is such a beautiful shot, it sort of shows how over time he became sad. It's hard to tell but maybe at one point he was fine with being in the cage but over time he became depressed. And with the light, strongest on the left, fading as it goes to the right to show the progression of time. Such a small but important detail.
I don't think he was fine being in the cage, just resolute in rejecting the demons advances. Then the red angel was threatened and his resolve started to really break. But he manage to say no and his friend was killed. Then realises things will get worse so he decides to kill himself but also punish the demon.
Hopefully Taiwan gets to make beautiful animated shows and movies one day. (I hope the UA-cam app also translates languages over there, so you can see this)
I love the fact that I can easily see comments in many different languages :) Art is a universal language. This short story was well made and it managed to touch the heart strings of people all over the world
The angel would rather quit being an angel by defying the religious taboo of suicide than redeem or forgive him as an "angel" (or many webtoon protagonists) would. As many have pointed out, it is also an act of spite, to hurt the devil by dying in front of him - which is also "unangelic". Going by this, perhaps he took the flowers not just to say sike, but also because he metaphorically took the "devil's offering" when he sank into despair and decided on suicide (and therefore accepting the devil's toxic love is narratively equivalent to killing yourself, and so on) Oh and another thing I noticed: the angel killing himself with the keys to "freedom" > when the devil forced him to choose between freedom and the other angel, he already equated "freedom" with someone's "death" so honestly he gave the angel the idea there
That last shot 2:56 *SPOILER* . . . . . . . . . . . . after the angel killed himself and panned out on the other side and shows how the demon is seemingly in the cage now is a really good symbolism. The angel is dead but free now. The demon is caged forever. Also, the cage is the only lighted area in whole demon's place, just look at how empty he is /his world is 2:59... Welp.. that's gone now too..

Demon will be psychologically trapped/caged from this situation, and same with lighting at the end, it's not literal, you could say the whole panning out to the demon's world is a way to show his mental state after the angel kills his self, which is dark, empty and broken... Something like that..
At least the red angel and the blonde head angel are now together, and the demon can't touch them😭💔 and he has to live with knowing that he killed the thing he "loved" by trying to force the Angel to love him back

I love that the angel waited for the demon before he unalived himself using the demon's gift. It shows that victims of greed and ego can be ruthless when everything is taken from them.
Here is my take away. Blond Angle was caged, demon wanted the love of the angle but thought it was a wonderful idea to cage and constrain the person they desire. The Blond Angle wanted freedom but the Demon didn't want that. Eventually he got someone the Blond cared for and pulled out what I think is a Betrothal Necklace. In exchange for Marring Demon, Red Angle will live. Red said no because Red knew that Marriage will be a worse cage for Blond then the cage Blond is in right now. Blond wanted to say yes to save Red; but Red was able to save Blond from a worse fate. Demon was upset the plan didn't work and left. Blond, now seeing the lengths Demon is willing to go to have his way needed a way out to prevent another one of Blonds loved ones from suffering. The opportunity presented itself in the form of a broken Necklace. The reason for staying alive to accept the flowers? To send a message to the Demon. Death is a better alternative then living with you. AKA, f you b*#@!
I would like to agree but i have another version, that blond angel taked the flowers to make this demon feel even more pain of somebody you love died(like the red haired angel, beacuse he died In front of blond angel) to feel this Happiness and then this Horrible pain. For the rest of his life. And The blond angel couldn't live with the fact that the person he loved died.

Wanting the Demon to see the person it wants to love dies right in front of it would cause it to feel something as close to lost and grief as possible, all the while Blond is able to be free in both of lost and containment. Still, despite the sadness the video presented, the final "f u" is funny in my opinion, it's how I would go.

as someone who had been in a toxic relationship for *8 years* I must say this is very accurate days were meaningless the more the relationship advanced, because he was the best at the start, but he turned into a more toxic behavior, isolating me, getting mad when I was with friends, I couldnt talk to them for support, but he also would get mad if I wasnt *happy* so I was in a constant feeling of being in a cage and having a muzzle on, carefully thinking every single word or he would snap at me it was a long-distance relationship, so it never got physically abusive, but it was extremely draining for my mental health; it has been 5 months since he broke up with me, im still healing, but my days pass by way faster, i hang out with friends, *im happy*

Love is a state of insanity, and while what he did was horrible and unforgiveable, i feel bad that he thought this was the way to get what he wanted. That he couldn’t move on and try to find someone else, learn to be better, and instead resorted to horrible ways. I feel bad for him, but i also feel dissapointment and anger in him.

I really felt this. My whole life, I've been forced to give affection (Non-romantic) to a lot of people, specifically my ex-stepdad. The only way you can escape these people is to cut them out of your life. The angel was trapped in, essentially, a living hell. I honestly would have done the same in this situation, and I have never felt a random animation so deeply. This is beautiful, sad, and delivers an important message that toxic relationships are often soul-sucking, depressing nightmares that are over-fantasized in social media. So incredible.

That was sad but the lesson here is don't force someone to love you back if the person doesn't love you. I read many bl mangas and novels about this kind of situation the MC was suffering because the "person" like them can't love them back cuz they love someone else but "the person" trying to force them to love back. There's another ending they end up loving back but some chose to run away or even died rather than continue to live.
The ending there was so cool! Illustrating the idea that, while the angel was physically locked up, the demon was mentally locked up with obsession and guilt. Wow!

Aside from the moral of not forcing a person to love you back, I think this video tells that the person forcing the other is caging himself in a fantasy world where he believes the other person loves him back when it is so far from reality. His love is not what love is supposed to be as it is hurting the other person when love is supposed to be where one can sacrifice himself and suffer in pain than letting his beloved endure it for a lifetime which ends up being the cause of his own demise.
This is a tragic story, but the character designs are GORGEOUS! Good job design team wow. Also, the inside of the house, like, WHAT? THATS CRAZY! Nice job everyone who worked on this, this is legit my favorite short film.

Когда Дьявол даёт Ангелу кулон, и снова получает отказ, он уже "повышает ставку", угрожая убить друга(?) Ангела, и все равно получает отказ. Почему Ангел не согласился любить Дьявола, ведь на кону жизнь его дорого друга? Ангел, хоть и в клетке - свободен от этих невзаимных чувств, убивая себя, он может, освобождается из физического заточения. Что мы видим в конце? Дьявол горюет над смертью Ангела. Как это нарисовано? Дьявол "за клеткой" (2:57), но он в ней, Ангела в клетке не видно. Дьвол сам заперт, с самого начала, с первых картин, можно заметить, например, что он смотрит на Ангел как бы сквозь решетки (0:02). Заложником своих чувств Дьявол будет ещё долго.
Мне его так жаль Каково ему сидеть в клетке и видеть как его лучший друг умирает у него на глазах И единственное что он решил предпринять это собственная смерть ಥ_ಥ

One think that's really good, is the reason why he didn't accept the first gift is to do so it seems is to lose one's halo. (The friend told him not to do it). I think by accepting a gift from the demon they no longer are immortal and so by accepting the flowers, he was able to use the necklace on himself to die.
the lighting is absolutely gorgeous and added to the whole piece an insane amount a short piece that told better than anything else that if you try to force someone to love you, all you'll really do is force them to take desperate measures to stay away from you

I like the style of the animation with its colors and outlines. But what hits me hard was the meaning of the story. Love isn't something you can obtain through coercion. If you push too far, then you'll end up losing that person forever

I love the shot of the devil himself in the cage. As though in his attempts to trap the one he loves, he’s trapped himself in a cage of grief because the angel doesn’t love him back. In the beginning, he tries to literally cage the angel, but when the angel dies, the demon traps himself in grief because the angel told him, in the most literal way, “you will never have me.”

You can see how the devil REALLY felt about the angel in the first few seconds...the angel literally was just a piece of artwork to the devil. There were no real feelings, just possession, but the devil called it love to give it meaning.

I honestly like how they interpreted the characters as angels and a demon. I don't mean in the literal sense (even though they are literally that), but the meaning of good and (bad in this case...evil seems to be a word too harsh for him.)
The demon is frequently trying to win the heart of the angel who has turned him down, but in doing so he created a forced relationship. That want for a relationship turned to obsession for affection. He wants the angel to love him, and because the angel consistently rejects him, he turns to more life-threatening means by threatening the life of angel's friend, and possibly lover. (It reminds me of The Phantom of the Opera now that I think about it.) Anyway, clearly shown at the end, the angel kills himself to free himself from this cage.
ALSO!! The fact that the angel actually got a bit of revenge in the end threw me. He took the flowers, which meant he 'finally gave into the demon's whims', but by gods he really said "sike."
This IS evil. He doesn't care about the blond angel. Imagine doing these things to someone you care about. Really imagine how sick this is. Believing this is love is horrendous, although I understand the empathy in seeing someone who "cares".

I love how there's symbolism and metaphors everywhere, the cage, the flowers/ offerings, the photos of the angel, the sculptures in the devils room, the window that overlooks the angle and the cage he's trapped in, and the death of the angel everything is a metaphor and represents certain themes and types of people and there behavior in toxic relationships
The person or people who made this video did an excellent job of carrying out the themes of the animation, I loved the art style and colors used for this absolutely breathtaking.

с самого начала можно визуально подметить восхищение демона ангелом. об этом говорят висящие портреты, зарисовки(наброски, вероятно зарисованные самим демоном), и даже скульптура. все в честь ангела. после - мы убеждаемся в его восхищении на деле. он вручает своему "приятелю" подарок в виде букета, который подразумевает в себе понятие. вероятно - прощение и принятие. подарок характеризуется как извинение за причиненное им (лишение свободы, присвоение себе если проще), и принятие, скажем так мира между ними. "предложение" было отклонено откинутым в сторону букетом. демон же желал лишь положительного ответа от того, потому пошел на более суровые меры.
кулон, ( если я конечно не ошибаюсь, и это был он ) включает в себя примерно то же, что и в букете.

0:02 is such a beautiful shot, it sort of shows how over time he became sad. It's hard to tell but maybe at one point he was fine with being in the cage but over time he became depressed. And with the light, strongest on the left, fading as it goes to the right to show the progression of time. Such a small but important detail.
I think the happy ones were before they were caged.
I don't think he was fine being in the cage, just resolute in rejecting the demons advances. Then the red angel was threatened and his resolve started to really break. But he manage to say no and his friend was killed. Then realises things will get worse so he decides to kill himself but also punish the demon.

Art is a universal language. This short story was well made and it managed to touch the heart strings of people all over the world
The angel would rather quit being an angel by defying the religious taboo of suicide than redeem or forgive him as an "angel" (or many webtoon protagonists) would. As many have pointed out, it is also an act of spite, to hurt the devil by dying in front of him - which is also "unangelic". Going by this, perhaps he took the flowers not just to say sike, but also because he metaphorically took the "devil's offering" when he sank into despair and decided on suicide (and therefore accepting the devil's toxic love is narratively equivalent to killing yourself, and so on)
Oh and another thing I noticed: the angel killing himself with the keys to "freedom" > when the devil forced him to choose between freedom and the other angel, he already equated "freedom" with someone's "death" so honestly he gave the angel the idea there

Demon will be psychologically trapped/caged from this situation, and same with lighting at the end, it's not literal, you could say the whole panning out to the demon's world is a way to show his mental state after the angel kills his self, which is dark, empty and broken...

Here is my take away. Blond Angle was caged, demon wanted the love of the angle but thought it was a wonderful idea to cage and constrain the person they desire. The Blond Angle wanted freedom but the Demon didn't want that.
Eventually he got someone the Blond cared for and pulled out what I think is a Betrothal Necklace. In exchange for Marring Demon, Red Angle will live. Red said no because Red knew that Marriage will be a worse cage for Blond then the cage Blond is in right now.
Blond wanted to say yes to save Red; but Red was able to save Blond from a worse fate.
Demon was upset the plan didn't work and left.
Blond, now seeing the lengths Demon is willing to go to have his way needed a way out to prevent another one of Blonds loved ones from suffering. The opportunity presented itself in the form of a broken Necklace.
The reason for staying alive to accept the flowers? To send a message to the Demon.
Death is a better alternative then living with you.

I can see this happening. Wanting the Demon to see the person it wants to love dies right in front of it would cause it to feel something as close to lost and grief as possible, all the while Blond is able to be free in both of lost and containment.
Still, despite the sadness the video presented, the final "f u" is funny in my opinion, it's how I would go.

Thinking it would work maybe but that doesn't mean you need to feel pity for that because it's messed up either way. I wouldn't feel bad for someone thinking that crippling and holding the life of my family or love's life over me accepting whatever they want is to pity.
NChild molesters often tell their victims they will kill their entire family if they tell anyone so the child often goes along with it because they don't want their family to be hurt. Whether it be keeping quiet about gifts they recieve or actual assault. Often it does work, doesn't mean there's anything to pity the molester/groomer for.

Me hizo recordar a una frase o a una enseñanza que leí en alguna parte. Decía que: Normalmente pienso de manera egoísta, quiero arrancar aquella flor de sus raíces para llevarla conmigo, sin previo aviso, a ese hermoso ser, sin embargo, por querer que solo sea mía y obligarla a quedarse conmigo, hice que se marchite, y desvanecer su presencia. Fue un gran mensaje, lo leí en una historia de wattpad que era un fanfic y sorprendentemente me hizo reflexionar mucho, el fanfic era de Soukoku, esta claro que lo que escribí arriba es la interpretación que le di a lo que leí, pero en fin, alguien ayúdeme que nunca volví a encontrar ese fanfic, tenía un nombre en francés creo, pero era algo de perfume de primavera creo.

@@fer_nanda4509 es una metáfora, como decir que un niño pequeño al ver una flor piensa en arrancarla para llevársela, pero luego al ser un niño, no la cuida y deja que se marchite sin darse cuenta, es como un tipo de representación a que pensar en algo ó específicamente en alguien y quererlo solo para ti (signos de toxicidad) o forzar sentimientos. Es también parecido a cuando comparamos al sacar a un animal de su habitad, y en otros casos venderlos y hacer que sufran por beneficio propio.
Lo extraño de esta analogía es que yo la aprendí en un libro donde la protagonista amaba las flores en macetas. Antes de que le dieran ramos ella prefería las macetas. Me hizo analizar todo desde esta perspectiva que comentan. Y si. No es lo mismo que te guste algo a que lo ames. Si lo amas lo cuidas y proteges. No lo destruyes y lo matas.
I really felt this. My whole life, I've been forced to give affection (Non-romantic) to a lot of people, specifically my ex-stepdad. The only way you can escape these people is to cut them out of your life. The angel was trapped in, essentially, a living hell. I honestly would have done the same in this situation, and I have never felt a random animation so deeply. This is beautiful, sad, and delivers an important message that toxic relationships are often soul-sucking, depressing nightmares that are over-fantasized in social media. So incredible.
I like that the angel is both morally and physically (essentially) in hell.Like, he's really in hell with a demon who's trying to make him fall in love with him. THIS IS CREEPY. I literally felt how painful this angel was.I read a lot of books, with a lot of glass, and didn’t cry... but then I burst into tears... Visual miracles, people, learn
That was sad but the lesson here is don't force someone to love you back if the person doesn't love you.
I read many bl mangas and novels about this kind of situation the MC was suffering because the "person" like them can't love them back cuz they love someone else but "the person" trying to force them to love back. There's another ending they end up loving back but some chose to run away or even died rather than continue to live.

This is gorgeous. The animation style fits the story really well, it's softness contrasts how tragic the plot is and I think that's beautiful
Aside from the moral of not forcing a person to love you back, I think this video tells that the person forcing the other is caging himself in a fantasy world where he believes the other person loves him back when it is so far from reality. His love is not what love is supposed to be as it is hurting the other person when love is supposed to be where one can sacrifice himself and suffer in pain than letting his beloved endure it for a lifetime which ends up being the cause of his own demise.
This is a tragic story, but the character designs are GORGEOUS! Good job design team wow. Also, the inside of the house, like, WHAT? THATS CRAZY! Nice job everyone who worked on this, this is legit my favorite short film.

Ангел заперт в клетке, он будто скован оковами любви Дьявола, не может вылететь из неё, хотя у него есть крылья. Дьявол не даёт ему покоя, кажется он уже не первый раз приходит к нему с букетом, требуя взаимности. Ангел всегда отказывает Дьяволу.
Когда Дьявол даёт Ангелу кулон, и снова получает отказ, он уже "повышает ставку", угрожая убить друга(?) Ангела, и все равно получает отказ. Почему Ангел не согласился любить Дьявола, ведь на кону жизнь его дорого друга? Ангел, хоть и в клетке - свободен от этих невзаимных чувств, убивая себя, он может, освобождается из физического заточения.
Что мы видим в конце? Дьявол горюет над смертью Ангела. Как это нарисовано? Дьявол "за клеткой" (2:57), но он в ней, Ангела в клетке не видно. Дьвол сам заперт, с самого начала, с первых картин, можно заметить, например, что он смотрит на Ангел как бы сквозь решетки (0:02). Заложником своих чувств Дьявол будет ещё долго.

Viver com ele não deve ser pior que a morte, considerando que já era um anjo e sua morte significa inexistência. Acredito que ela poderia ter ganhado a confiança dele para um dia escapar, até lá (tirando a parte do sequestro) não acho que ele seria tão ruim, mas posso estar errado e só está achando ele inofensivo pelo desenho fofo.

The grief and courage of the caged angel, the bound angel silently shaking their head to tell the caged one not to give into the demon for their sake, the utter despair and helplessness of them both. In the end the demon learns you can't force someone to love you, but two people had to lose their lives to teach him. So tragic.

One think that's really good, is the reason why he didn't accept the first gift is to do so it seems is to lose one's halo. (The friend told him not to do it). I think by accepting a gift from the demon they no longer are immortal and so by accepting the flowers, he was able to use the necklace on himself to die.

Я не могу перестать пересматривать это видео. Оно настолько прекрасно, что я не могу сдержать слёз. Трагедия, которая пробирается в самую глубь души, заставляет всё в ней переворачиваться. И все эти метафоры подобраны так потрясающе, отчего сердце содрогается, а дыхание замирает от прослушанной музыки.
Меня трудно заставить плакать, но от подобного я сумела пустить пару слёз.
Спасибо вам за прекрасную печальную историю и её не менее трагичное окончание. Вы сумели заставить моё тело содрогаться не то от печали, не то от восторга, ибо это великолепно!

Now I can’t exactly put a pin on the meaning. But sure I think it’s about one sided love and forcing the other to love you back. Now even though I can’t understand fully. I still think it is both wonderfully made. The music. The emotion potrayed through the characters. And the simbolism aswell as the background. Wonderful.

I like the style of the animation with its colors and outlines. But what hits me hard was the meaning of the story. Love isn't something you can obtain through coercion. If you push too far, then you'll end up losing that person forever

Интересная история. По начала у мне показалась клишированной, но ближе к концу выделилась. И драма ангела понятна. Он не идет на поводу у демона, даже под шантажом (если я конечно все правильно поняла,) и это выдает его характер. Очаровательная и лайтовая рисовка, даже злодея истории, делает более человечным.
