I've had my VZ2 310 since December, it's a fantastic all round car, shattering performance, mine has a panoramic roof, space saver spare wheel and Beats stereo too.
The infotainment system is so annoying, I can cope with it being a little slow but it can have a mind of it's own as it's full of bugs, changes settings, shows up faults that aren't, even slammed the brakes on once at 20 mph for no apparent reason, audio can play up, makes random phone calls, yes I've experienced all these and more as have many others, thankfully software updates cure most of the problems, never a dull day driving a Formentor, I love it but the 310 is quite expensive to buy and run compared to the 1.5 litre version.
I have this exact model and colour in the UK. Got a cracking deal in April 2021 (£27,000) . Mine came with Dynamic Chassis Control, which a few in the UK got. (not an option on the V2 model in the UK). Apparently, it was to do with a hangover from COVID, and Cupra built a few V2s with the option in order to keep the assembly line going when parts were still scarce. I absolutely love mine. The 1.5 isn't a barnstormer, but it's legally quick enough for me on my 64-mile round trip commute to work, which is a mixture of motorway and A roads. You are right about the looks, and even though they've been around a while now, I still get asked questions about its looks and a nice feeling driving it. I know there have been quite a few people who haven't had a good experience with the car or manufacturer/dealer support, and that's a shame. I feel for them. Thanks for the vid.
Fantastic new car. Cupra gave us a exciting starting production car. Can't wait to see what they release next.
Couldn't agree more! Thanks for sharing with us 🤗
Ordered one for next year through work, very excited
Awsome. What trim level did you go for? I fancy one myself. Still thinking about this car lol
I have the V2 hybrid as a company car. It’s quick. But, I’m getting only 40mpg, the tank is very small so I have to fill up almost every day now. The boot is very very small. It’s full of gadgets. But only fools buy a car for the gadgets. There’s too many distractions inside for me when driving (ambient lighting waste of time, always switched off). Also, when you’re on cruise control it puts the brake lights on all the time, annoying to everyone. It looks good outside, but who cares when you’re inside it? Touch screen is very laggy. I would not spend my 42 thousand pounds on it. Oh yes, loads of road noise inside too.
Hey , thanks for the comment and sharing your thoughts and experience with the car. Much appreciated 🤗
Had mine (top spec) 6 months now. Have pretty much learnt all its quirks but the inability to permanently disable the stop/start function is annoying. Also learnt that when using a key safe can disable proximity access by locking on fob then within 10 seconds hit locking on door handle and voila the proximity is disabled and I can put my key safe on the car and not worry about handle checkers getting access.
Got one in nevada white (V2 DSG).....❤ Great car
Just ordered my formentor, having to wait until april for delivery. The test drive blew our minds cant wait for delivery day ❤
Brilliant thanks for sharing 🤗 which trim level did you go for? Thanks for chatting with us 🤗
I bet you love the fake plastic exhaust pipes….
It has Lambo Urus vibes. Ive just purchased my VZ2, pick it up tomorrow
It looks great. I love how even the lower trims look great as with other brands low trim levels don’t always get great bumpers or details. Nice choice on the VZ2 what colour did you go for? I bet you are buzzing. Stick around as there will be a full review coming soon and got some tasty shots of the car in action. Thanks for chatting 🤗
@@CarChatTV it looks fantastic top to bottom. I love the standard level of tech the have put in as well.
I went for the red as it’s my favourite colour and I think it will set me apart from other tormentors on the road!
Will absolutely be sticking around
What was your wait time
@@Rar9866probs like 3 months?
@@jameelismail1833 cheers
I've got the vz2 in the same colour it's had a few niggles with the infotainment system and needed a new steering wheel but all sorted now it's a thirsty one if you want it to be but there's an eco setting in the individual drive mode which I use for bobbing around town and long journeys which makes a difference. I had an Audi S3 before it and this handles better than it did.
Thanks for the comment. I bet the Audi s3 owners don’t want to hear that lol. Just goes to show how good this car is. We loved it, it looks great as well. Thanks for chatting and sharing with us 🤗
@@CarChatTV 👍
Lots, I mean lots of tire noise...no buttons for the climate controls...other than that, a really nice to drive car. Near perfect seating position, even for long legged people.
Brilliant looking car for the money
Who cares about the looks? Daft reason to buy a car.
Fun but I wonder why couldn’t they build a right hand drive center console, very annoying when your left knee keeps hitting the lip on center console it just won’t let you relax on longer journeys!
Update: 7000 miles. Key fob batteries last about 1 month. Sun glares off bonnet into drivers eyes. Sat nav is terrible. Front anti-collision & cruise control sensors don’t work if slightly dirty. Full battery give 15 miles range lol. But on the positive side, it’s got fake plastic exhaust pipes 😂
Oh wow! Going good then lol. Appreciate you sharing your experience it definitely helps others when they are researching cars and they look in the comments. Have you told Cupra about it, have they given you any feedback? Thanks for chatting with us 🤗
Hy does the v2 coming with level 2 autonomous driving or just a basic lane keeping ASSISTANT? Thanks
Comes with lane assist (always switch mine off), adaptive cruise control (every time it senses anything it puts the brakes lights on, annoying to all). It also slows down for speed limits and bends for you which is okay sometimes I suppose.
Hi,nice review, looking forward to the full review.. had my V2 a year now, you'll probably start to realise a few annoying features over that time like I have, especially the infotainment is so slow, and I find the driver door armrest is to low..is lovely looking crossover but you definitely need the vz options to be able to have real fun,no exhaust pops in the base models 😢.. When the sun hits the bonnet you'll be blinded, squueky brakes, (been checked but still squeek)🤔.. And be aware of the sharp edges (light clusters) when opening the boot 😂😂..
Hey Gary, thanks for the comment. It’s always great to hear from real world owners and their experiences with the formentor. It would be great to have a go in the top spec version and give it a blast. Yeah I noticed those sharp edges you got to be careful with that. Can’t wait to see what you think of the proper review vid. Thanks for chatting with us 🤗
Amazing car and for relatively "cheap" car you are getting so much attention from the people at the street. We are doing big mileage per year, so we went for a 2.0l diesel 150hp version.I am actually shocked how underpowered car feels. Even in sport mode feels so slow.My advice is don't even think to buy Formentor under 200hp engine.Positive thing about 2.0 diesel is consumption.
@@hello88820my v2 is coming in a little while since you have the V2 I was wondering was the infoitainment system always laggy or did it become laggy overtime?
Can u tell me some other cool features please thanks
@jameelismail1833 to be honest I didn't have absolutely any problems with laggy infotainment system.Maybe after 2,3 years on market and several updates they were able to improve system.
I have new Octavia 2021.also with similar system and since day one infotainment is great.Maybe first 10-15 sec is just slow when you turn on the car but later no issues.
@@hello88820 ok thanks 👍
Ordered the V2 about two weeks ago, dreading the long waif 😭😭
Awsome thank you for sharing with us. I hope the wait goes quick for you 🤗
How long is your wait. About to order one. Ordered the mark 4 leon in 2020 and it took 6 months not ready to wait for 6 months again
@@sixty94lyf about 6 weeks to be built and have to wait another 5 to 6 weeks for it to be shipped
@@rtsworld148 thats not too bad. Waited 6 months during Covid for the Seat Leon FR sport. Wanted to get another FR but dealership said they are no longer taking orders as apparently a new Leon is coming out in July 2024. I dont know how that is possible but thats what I was told. Formentor it is I guess.
It's really a nice looking car. Shame it's in the wrong color
Yes there is something about the red isn’t it. I think the petrol matte blue is the one to get 🔥
Mazda
Tacky
Are you not a fan of the formentor?
Cx 30 looking way better than this gaymer car lmao
A car for people easily who are impressed by style over substance. 9500 miles now. A generally annoying vehicle.
Thanks for sharing. Always great to hear from real world owners. Thanks for chatting to us 🤗
I own a Formentor and it is the worst car I have EVER owned.
So many faults, some of which dangerous when driving. Biggest mistake I have ever made.
Currently in a dispute with Cupra over rejection of the vehicle.
DO NOT BUY THIS CAR.
Bought one and had it 3 months, hasn’t missed a beat.
Had one 12 months now from new! done 9000 fault free miles....❤
