I love the simplicity of the join. I sometimes shy away from patterns because I think the join will be difficult or tedious. This is simple and looks lovely especially using a color of yarn not found in the squares themselves. I love the portability of this project. With my "kit" of yarn, hook, and scissors I've been able to take advantage of those times we are forced to be somewhere waiting. Just yesterday I spent 4 hours waiting for car maintenance at the dealers. Spent most of the time sitting in a comfortable chair making Anna squares and drinking tea. Instead of being bored and frustrated and working myself into a fruitless dither I remained calm and Anna-ed on. 😀 good for mental health. Thank you Anja.❤
Well done Victoria, this is exactly what l was hoping this would be used for, l'm so pleased it came to you at a time when you needed it the most, thank you, Anja x
Looks fabulous still my favourite block and blanket, the simplest always turn out the best I think. Sometimes we overthink things love love love it.🥰🥰🥰🥰💯💯💯💯
I'm so enjoying making these squares, 11 so far, in between my other project, and so easy to remember as per Anja tutorial. As for the joining it couldn't have been simpler. Thank you Anja.x
A lovely idea laying all the squares out in the park and I was wondering if any passer-by watched you? It’s nice to have the boxes to look forward to for joining as I find this the simplest way for joining.
I am working on my squares for November and will be excited to be putting them together in December. Love the pattern and can’t wait until it is finished. Thank you Anja for the tutorial! 🥰
So lovely! I prefer the single crochet row as my “right” side. So I am planning mine with that in mind. Layla is so snuggly on the blanket! I love the vivid colors in this blanket, that just pop up from the lighter ones. I finished my “ mystery of disappearing blanket” on Nov 4, and I have managed two Anna squares everyday since. I hope you film the decorating of your legacy squares box, as I’m sure we would all love to see it.
It's beautiful! I'm a relatively new subscriber, although I have seen your videos on UA-cam for a while. I'm working on two other projects right now, but I have been following along with this crochet project. I love your tutorials. I've just finished your Reading Shawl a few days ago.
@user-ji2ej3de6c, there is no pattern as such, just lay out your work and measure it! Then cut it, with a seam allowance, and off you go. Thank you for watching, Anja x
You’re welcome, well it all depends on how many squares you make for your blanket, if you are making a big blanket I suggest getting more rather than less, I think I used 2 maybe 3 for the join and edge but I really can’t remember. I hope you will enjoy making this, Anja x
