I think he would like a strong mumsy-type of woman who can be trusted to be always there, and to protect the family. Just like his own mom.
After wei Wuxian, Jiang Cheng is my favorite character. I love him so much and I hurt for him. He’s easier to identify With, he’s been through a lotta shit that made him bitter but he’s still trying to get thru each day, he knows he is being unfair to wwx at the end but can’t seem to stop himself, and growing up in wwx’s shadow had him steeping in resentment way longer than 3 months; but he still loves his brother and never stopped looking for him. The way you portray JC In this video is exactly how I see him. You do right by his character. Love it. He and Lan Xichen both need someone to heal their heartbreak and loneliness, so why not each other
I never shipped them, but I love this video because it zeroes in on the similarities between the two - they both had 'renegade' younger brothers; although one dealt with his a lot better than the other, it shows the empathy they felt, and Jiang Cheng's desperate wanting for some guidance from someone he looked up to.
I truly loved this!!! I just love this two strong, loving and contrasting characters that will have been amazing together. I respect XiYao shippers but for me JGY didn't love anyone. Xichen deserved someone bluntly honest and that would have been Jiang Cheng. Jiang Cheng will have needed someone to trust and lean on and that one is Xichen. I really enjoy this video, thanks =)

Not only have they NEVER REALLY INTERACTED with Eachother it’s established BY MXTX that XiYao are soulmates, that Lan Xichen was the only person that JGY DID actually care about. XiYao was meant to be the parallel to WangXian, the “Tragic” ending. While the ship is cute y’all gotta stop trying to erase canon

He had no one to share all his emotions, he could neither hate nor love his only friend and brother wwx. I always wanted him to have someone he could talk to and call his home and no other man was ever fitting Zewu Jun. But there aren't many edits of this ship. Thank you so much for this video.
