  • After a few days in the Lake, it's time to head further north. Can we make it to Broughton Island, or will the weather beat us?
We cruise extensively along the East Australian Coast on our 13 meter catamaran. Join us as we explore new cruising grounds, cross bars, fix all kinds of problems, ride out rough weather and live aboard for extended periods.
We even have a playlist that gets us on other peoples boats.
We hope that our videos encourage others to get on board and experience this fantastic lifestyle.

Wonderful drone shots of Broughton. yes you used the same buoy that the boat
    moored in my last comment.
My wife loved seeing the Island, and now understands the story.

Thanks Norm, Certainly not the best boating weather. If you have a good following breeze does that allow you to throttle back a bit or do you need to keep the revs up to keep the boat heading where you want? I must be challenging negotiating those shoals in the dark by yourself or are they easily identified on your instruments? Looking forward to the next leg of your journey.

Chart Plotter marks them well. Need a bit of concentration in the dark.
Run the boat at lower revs for the same speed with the sail and a bit of wind from the right quarter.
      Thanks for comments Dude.

Spent a very rolly night there few weeks ago. The mooring looked okay but was taken. Reckon I'll give Broughton a miss in future 🙃

I'm enjoying your videos as I'm learning some things about Australian geography, but for one thing. Could you please can the music?

Sorry you don't like it Dude.
I try to make it as inconspicuous as possible, but many enjoy it.
      Thanks for the comment.

Yep it is a bit exposed there. Have had good anchorages in Coalshaft and Esmeralda on other trips. Guess it depends on conditions Dude.
