I live in Edwardsville now and was a delivery driver in the area for about 4 years. There has been (and still is) a lot of development in the area. It's kinda crazy to look back just a few years in time and see what all has changed.
It's kind of like getting a new phone every year, and then looking at your old phone from 4 years ago. The changes and improvements were subtle year on year so you didn't really notice them until you look backward.

I grew up in Edwardsville, and I have family that live in Maryville. All three towns in this video have grown over the years and have become even better places to live. I moved from the area in 2010 due to work, but I still think of it as home.
When in Glenn Carbon, eat and drink at the Wooden Nickel.

Thanks much. Great job! My current city is becoming overrun with crime and though I never wanted to move, in another 10 to 15 years I believe I will have to, and Glen Carbon is at the top of my list. This video solidified it for me.
Edwardsville and Glen Carbon are very nice upper middle class-wealthy towns. The Edwardsville School District is one of the best in the state and the country. Maryville is nice too. The only somewhat downside of Maryville is that it's served by the Collinsville School District which is mediocre to below average.
It's Paul WIGHT, not Wright. I attended SIUE and was the sports editor at the paper covering basketball when played for the Cougars. Regular beer cans looked like toys in his hand.
