This game is getting a lot of updates for a game that has "found it's resting place".
No complaints though. It's awesome.
With the Warthog, you basically have an AC/28 that shoots every 1.75 seconds. At anything other than point blank range, it is pinpoint damage. As much as I like the MG and heavy MG potential, it is impossible to match that kind of pinpoint damage.
Completely agree, ap gauss/magshots should have a 10 weapon ghost heat limit at least
Yeah I tried a few matches this morning and didn't do as well as with the AP Gauss. Could be just that I need to adapt the play style
It's a glass cannon. Now it's even glassier. Just shoot its ST and it will fall off. It's alpha isnt even that high when other lights can match or have a higher alpha. It's arms fall off even easier, which is where 1/2 of the weapons and most of the ammo are. Just learn to target components. It's really not op.
@TimberWulfIsHere it isn't that it is OP. But in the hands of somebody that knows how to use it, it can do some serious damage. And while it is easy to say "just shoot it", if they are using it right, that is a lot easier said than done. It is a 35 ton mech. Of course it is easy to blow things off of it. However, if it is used as a skirmisher, and never fights you head on, that is a lot harder to do. Especially when it is used to support other, often much larger, mechs that can tank the damage. It is not going to go toe to toe with an assault mech. It isn't an Urbanmech that can occasionally pull that off. But it can step in from the side, or behind, and multiply the damage of its team mate. That is where they are most dangerous. We'll, that and blowing the legs off of light mechs.
Also, the easiest way to ruin the game for warthog players is to simply blow one of the legs off. That slows them to a crawl, and let's your team tear them apart.
@@chrisr251 therefore it's a non issue and people need to stop complaining because a mech is viable
i generally take the AC 10 as comboweapon to PPCs cause of rangebracket
by itself the AC 10 is good .. but there simply are either better or more interesting ballistics
for me that`s either LBX or RAC 5, or UAC's if i go with large lasers or Large Pulse
Nice to see my ravens receiving those buffs!!!
Stone rhino definitely needed nerfs. The amount of fire power it can bring to bare, at the ranges it can bring it (due to being clan) made them extremely dangerous.
They were never super tanky but they were tanky enough they could eat fire and out-trade whatever is shooting at them.
The change is to make them trade a little less favorably
I don't think the legends are going to sell the way PGI hopes.
The best thing about the AC10 is that it's range matches the LPPC, but that's about it.
Warthog might see some mixed MG + APG builds, but it'll be something that has to be tested.
I'm still waiting for a Legendary Orion...with ECM for brawling chaos.
I don't quite understand the nerf to armor on the Stone Rhino. I use the SR-6 with 14x ERML, yes the pinpoint damage is insanely good, but if you get on a more open map and someone sees you, you basically are red till you cross the distance. Same issue as the direwolf, if someone focuses on you, you take so much damage. And the SR-K is a brawler. It needs to get within 300m to do its job.
Now it get's even harder to make it work.
This will help my 2xPAC2 + LMG Warthog
I really enjoyed using Ravens in the old Mechcommander games, and it bums me that they aren't nearly as useful as scouts in MWO.
Scouts\capping\AMS support, doesn't really get rewarded in MWO anymore. Which is sad.
I don't understand the Commando buffs. Weren't they already stronk?
That Atlas M variant is interesting.
The new legends are cool but from a mwo gameplay perspective i feel like they're gonna be useless. Especially since those wings count as torso..
While you're in an IS XL...
was hoping for an AP guass/Mag shot nerf. the boating of those is getting out of hand.
Those wings should have a little bit higher uplift. It sux, less usefull than single JJ.
I wonder if those 'wings' will mean they collect enemy missiles easier?
Also, looking at the Stone Rhino nerfs, this is why I don't usually pay real money for a mech when they change the product you purchased.
the ap gauss adder is a joke.should nerf it yes.
More lame Legendary's... Yeah, they aren't beyond getting old... I like the Raven buffs, and Commando, I have one Commando, no Ravens... Other than that it's whatever. Legendary's are Anathema. That all ballistic Cicada is hilarious... and terrible... No one in the Inner Sphere would design a Cicada like that... Feckin' terrible. Partial wings are hilarious... As always, feck the Cauldron.
And if it were any other way, you'd bitch about Pay-to-win. Power creep in this game is already pretty intense, I think the Cauldron is doing great. It's not perfect but it's FAR better then it was. This community just lives on Salt.
@@Sare204 Steel here cant stand the fact that not everything was made specifically for his approval.
@@Sare204 So Legendary's AREN'T a form of Pay-to-Win? Are ye sure? Maybe, just maybe, keeping to REAL BattleTech would have prevented the power creep, and other IDIOTIC things PGI has done? Maybe? I hate salt, I actually never use it... I like pepper in fact...
Boowomp
@@steelshanks1265 Nope, unique (please read: not better) hard point layouts typically built for specific play styles, not possible with existing variants. If they were ONLY available with real world bucks and not released for MC ( easily earned through events) I could see some reason for concern.
You just seem to want overpowered builds which is bad for everyone else in game.
(Edit. Your lore reasoning is bad: Battletech is a turn based tabletop game. Mechwarrior is a first person mech simulator. What works for one, often won't work for the other, in a way that maintains balance.
