I love your channel just the way it is - raw, lovely and real. I love Instagram and the accounts I follow that are similar to yours do not have negative comments (or these are not noticeable) - I do like the little updates in there, which can be just short videos made on the phone or just pictures of how the land changes etc - it doesn’t have to be too laborious but it definitely helps the following as I found lots of YT accounts there. Some of them have a ‘buy me a coffee’ options, which I think is great - it’s one way for me to say thank you to guys like you.
Love what you’re doing, keep at it, it takes a lot of time and effort but you will make it a success. It’s already great and very enjoyable, I look forward to your videos.
It’s a journey, buying property and land, there always will be some issues or emergencies but you can do it! And it provides material for the videos, how boring would it be if everything would just be perfect 😊 Also, thank you for taking care of Cookie, that’s so sweet of you ❤

I love your weekly updates. I really hope you get the woodworm under control. Its great that you honestly show the reality of your living conditions. I follow a lot of youtubers on their instagram channels, I like when they let me know there is a new episode coming up. Mostly their Instagram is simply short reels or posts of the everyday things they have on their channel. Also I have heard that doing youtube short videos can boost channel numbers. If that helps?

We had to face the same problem with woodworms, so we totally understand you! We decided to go for a chemical free treatment called heat sterilization that killed every egg, larvae and bug. It was expensive, but effective 😅

First of all I wanted to say that I Love your name Wale&Me.
I really enjoyed your stop motion action shots you created in one of your previous videos.
When you filmed behind the scenes doing the running shot to the sauna. So cool.
I also really enjoy anything involving remodeling and reconstructing homes and people's design esthetics.
It's interesting to see the problem solving, and restoration of these beautiful old homes.
Stone houses are rare where I live here in the U.S., so I personally find it fascinating.
I'm not so much a fan of travel videos.
I do however, like watching people create and design their gardens, more so than day to day tending and harvesting of them.
I'm sure your home will become as unique as you two.
BTW: My husband and I are also plant based.
So healthy recipes from others are often interesting and helpful to us.
I think you both are delightful and interesting to watch.
Best wishes to you both on your journey!
If your not worried about numbers, then I think how your proceeding is enough.
However, you always have the right to change as you move forward and your needs change. ❤

I also agree with you to use the social media that you are comfortable with in sharing your content. I am so glad that I found your channel.
As a homeowner, working on your home and property never ends. My garden has grown with me, I make changes to the garden and my life when I have daily reflections. I have had gophers and squirrels in my garden cause havoc but I understand it comes with growing fruits and vegetables.
Stay true to what makes you happy on the property. I also agree building a community with your neighbors or other You Tubers will provide you with some good ideas. Your local garden center might have suggestions for you too since they know the lay of the land.
Continue to walk forward and confidently as you continue to acquaint yourself with your precious property. La Tierra Hermosa”.😊

I learn where I want to travel to, largely by images on Instagram of nature that are tagged. I have been to Spain twice, but not to the mountains in the north.
Because of your channel, I will make sure I get there one day.
If you want to grow by positively influencing the next generation to participate or more sustainable practices, then you probably need a presence on other platforms. If you are content to grow slow and steady, you are doing a fantastic job! Glad I found you!❤

Yep, I have a love/hate relationship with social media. I love seeing happy, positive, motivating content. Once in a while I see extremely upsetting stuff, that is hard to get out of my head (any kind of abuse on any living being), and often keeps me awake at night 😢.) I’m trying to eliminate that kind of content.
    I LOVE your channel 🥰

If some of the trees can't handle the water pooling, you might want to put some loose gravel in the hole below the roots to help with drainage. It's a suggestion, you might want to try it first on something to see how it works.👍

For the woodbugs, maybe after painting with insectisides, wrap the wood with clingwrap plastic. So that the chemical will stay in the wood and also will avoid to smell around.

Oh, woodworm is my worst nightmare! Best of luck with it, I hope the treatment helps! I understand there's also a possibility of professional heat treatment, I have no experience with that but it may be worth investigating as it's not toxic. As for expanding channels, I really wouldn't put energy into things you don't enjoy. Just use the channels you do like to the best of your abilities 🤗 I love the vlog style, I love that you don't know everything (in the sense that you're not specialists in ecology, rewilding, farming or building but are willing to take it on and learn). People will follow at some point, I'm sure there are more that would be interested. And if you need to prioritise paid work in the meantime, so be it! We'll be patient ❤

I love watching your episodes! So inspiring. What you have done to your land is going to be amazing. You have planted so so so many plants, trees, bushes, etc etc. I don't like anything except FB. I just don't understand Instagram and for the other platforms, I'm just not interested. The best way I can help you is watching, liking and commenting. BTW I have been using your deodorant recipe for a couple of months now and I love it. Works perfectly, even on the hottest summer days. Thank you.

They are called swales. They are wide, deep 'ditches' cut in the contours of the land, mainly to slow down the water so that it soaks into the land for dry climates. There is even a video on using them for wet climates (How to use swales to prevent waterlogging. Channel name Cairn of Dunn Croft Permaculture)
There are some 'rules' to make swales, one is, sloping land with more than a 15 degree slope isn't suitable.

Unfortunately, it’s a fact of life you’re never going to please all the people all the time!
I personally don’t get why people have to be nasty and negative. If they don’t like what you are doing why not just unfollow you and stop watching you?
I like the way your videos chat to us as if we are all sitting around having a chat and coffee together. Very informal, just chatting to a friend! Your planting spree seems to have been a great success around! It does the heart good to see fresh green shoots, the starting of new life. As to the washed away wildflower seeds, where ever they decide to root Mother Nature will be very happy.❤

Let me tell you a story. Not so long time ago, there was a house in the mountains. Inhabited but suddenly they all disappeared for a few days. A little mouse went for a walk and found delicious wood pest chips in this house. She took a few for the road and then quickly ran to inform the rest of the family about the feast in a warm and cozy place. As soon as possible, the whole family showed up with suitcases, ready to move in. What is the moral of this story? Two cats. You need at least two cats😊
