    FWIW for others.
    - I wanted the 6 gallon size for size and storage purposes. I also didn't want the stainless. They look nice at first but they spot, dent, and rust through so they require extra care that it wouldn't receive, and most were more tippy.
    - The Dewalt name doesn't mean anything to me, but For $75 at Blain's with a $5 off reward coupon, it became far and away the best deal for an industry-standard 7 ft. hose and 10' power cord, pleated filter, HEPA filter, uses the standard Dewalt filters used on 6-10 gallon models, a 3-year warranty with a 90 day satisfaction guarantee. Good luck getting this anywhere else. This beats anything from Walmart or Harbor Freight. The one from Harbor Freight doesn't even have a crevice tool.
    - I knew going in there is no effective way to store the hose, wands, nor attachments. The way I store the vacuum, I couldn't store, it with the wands anyway. I might do something something with Velcro for the hose, and spring clips or Velcro for the attachments. This deficiency is inexcusable. The rubber thingie that they claim you can use to store the hose isn't real. A lot of girls couldn't pull hard enough to us it, and it deforms the hose if you do use it, so the best you can do is try to wrap it over itself and hope it doesn't uncoil. It comes with a hokey hang-up mesh bag for attachments.
    - Do I have any regrets? No. I simply haven't found anything that can beat it with its combination of strong suction, small size, long hose, good filters, attachments, combined with the price made it impossible to beat. If I had to pay the $130 full price, or $120, then there are other options which include attachment management.

    How does it work for sucking up water , do you use the same filter , remove that filter that come with the vacuum and/or buy a special filter ?

    • @PovertyPointCustoms
      @PovertyPointCustoms  2 роки тому +1

      In order to use it to suck up water you need to remove the paper filter from the vacuum (then it is set to suck up water. If there is debris in the water it is recommended to put on a foam filter (not included).

    Nicely explained vid! I just got this (U.S.) but my model # is DXV06P, it came with all the stuff in yours but didn’t include that nice longer floor nozzle or those inflater/deflater tools. So far the only cons I can see is there is no on-board tool accessory holders for the extension tubes, & the rubber hose strap is not very stretchy very hard to stretch over the hose. But Its well made, and as you said the suction is really good, so far so good. Thanks!!

      The big box stores can get what they want because of their volume. The Dewalt site shows crevice nozzle, floor nozzle, and utility nozzle. Mine from Blain's came with crevice nozzle, round brush, and utility nozzle, and has the same DXV06P part number, with the round brush is superior for doing cars such as consoles etc. The floor attachment would be better for a workshop. All big box stores do this. The Walmart hummingbird feeder is modified, making it a better hummingbird feeder than you can get from the manufacturer brand. Lowe's Maytag Commercial Dryers have a window for less than the standard factory dryer, with the catch being the Lowe's ones have a shorter warranty that you can extend at Lowe's or buy outright from the factory.
