Haven't heard this song in years until recently and I have made it my mission to listen to every version (lyrics, over lays, anyone else who has ever posted this song) and I have listened to it several times a day everyday in the last few months
Wikipedia says this guy wrote the song - words, melody, piano riff. He's a genius. I loved it back then and I don't know how it ever slipped off my list of favorite songs. The regular version is one of those rare songs that really makes use of STEREO with a good sound system.
I beleive that if this song was remade today,it would be a mega hit,it is way underrated and so relevant for our times.listening to this is one of the rare moments where I can actually feel and see god for a moment

did a lesson on this song with my students-they loved the message and understood that sometimes we just need to say things the way they are..... this is poetry month and we studied some unsung heroes and their poetic movement to change society through music, charity, and writing! They truly loved this, I loved making an impact on them and this gave me that edge!
I love the Piano... its a great song but i think the piano makes it that much better... also i love how this song has amazing lyrics and very true.. Leason to be learnt we all should accept eachother accept ourselves and accept that we are all different and special.. if you can accept others then surely you can love yourself enough to accept yourself.. we can't change how the world is.. but we can change how we feel about ourselves

Dear +jessica Dowsey, I never implied learning to love oneself was easy. It might be one of the hardest things to do in life (at least for some of us). Personally, I'm finally getting there (and I'm over 30 now...). It feels so darn good that all the hard work to get there is really worth it. One thing I can tell you is that you're not alone, no one is, and there's no better and greater support than that from your family and friends. Life is short, so we'd better make of this journey one we can be very proud of. Take care! :)
