Adventure Scientists: Origin Story

Gregg Treinish couldn’t get past the question: How can I add purpose to my outdoor adventures?
He had no PhD or special credentials or skills, but saw all his friends were also looking for a way to give back. So he founded Adventure Scientists to supply outdoor enthusiasts with the skills to collect data crucial to scientific research.
“It’s so cool to me that no longer do we have to be just armchair conservationists,” he says. “Now we can do something.”

This is such an awesome idea to involve outdoor people in science! I'm going to search for an initiative like this one in Europe.
