The first Touhou EWI came out in 2008. Imagine being so determined to make animations about Touhou girls playing electric flute in swimsuits, that you will end up doing that for more than 14 years. Winn is truly one of the treasures of the Touhou fandom, and should be protected at all costs

These videos have been popping up on my radar for over a decade. Actually fairly creepy, even for this fandom.

@@Xbalanque84 it's not really fetish. Artist couldn't draw clothes at time and then decided to continue with that gimmick.
Winn started out drawing school swimsuits like that because they're really easy to draw (you don't need to draw distinct clothes since they're skintight, just add a few lines on the body), and they cover enough to be tasteful yet modest. He kept it up even after his artistic skills grew because it made his videos unique...
Though I do think it sorta _became_ a fetish for him over time, going by some of his other art.
I really appreciate animator's attention to detail for Chimata's design, I've seen too many artist omit that she has *actual clouds* in her hair and just settle for making it deep blue or violet.

There's a Touhou-themed card game called Danmaku! if I not mistaken. It's not a tcg as far as I know, but it's the closest thing I've seen to a Touhou card game.

I can respect this person'd dedication to their fetish even if I do not understand it.
It's not really a fetish it's a gag because the animator couldn't draw complicated clothes at the time.
@@dreamhubproductions753 you guys should really stop propagating this made-up story and look up his (detailed and advanced) artwork from FIFTEEN years ago, dating back to the earliest EWI videos and possibly from even before. Dude has a BDSM fetish and it's very explicitly on display in a bunch of his artwork outside the music videos, plain and simple. Not shaming him btw.

It must have taken a long time to make the animation, because of the large amount of art of touhou girls that appeared in the video (even if it was only a few seconds of her apparition)
If my numbers are correct, there are 46 girls in Mizugi (japanese school swimsuit) in the video... plus Chimata in Mizugi, so it would be 47 girls in swimsuit.
God bless "winn" for his wonderful works, and a "reddevils500a" too, for upload to youtube the video. Niconico isn't my favorite platform to watch videos.

This song will always have a special place in my mind. When Chimata says "I'm afraid I can't do that, for the rainbow is already encircling the moon" thats like the most tououest thing I ever sene in touhou and I love it. Such a beautiful and chill final boss fight.

@@HyperVanilo Winn couldn't draw clothes when he started so he drew SS because it was easier for him. It became a gag if you watch his earlier videos it comes out as a comedic thing most of the time.
1:42 Seeing this somehow made me want to see more friendly relations between humans and -Yae Miko- youkai in the Touhou series, especially in canon. I never see the series as some harem or yuri though. AUNNestly.
ZUN definitely should give Sanae some (more) actual interactions with the friendly youkai such as Koishi.

I've done that just so I could at least be able to defeat the final boss on the epic difficulty with no troubles. Not that I'm overleveling my party members though.
