The banana you buy to vendor is not good eating it raw you shoud cook it fist like boiling or fried or the famous way to cook it is fried and add sugar until it caramelized (banana Q)
I hope u visit Batanes, Romblon, Catanduanes.. Very beautiful 😍 place
You both are so sweet and kind to our countrymen who honestly earn a living on the streets. Thank you for visiting and supporting them. More videos of adventure foods please 🙏🥰. The locals can give you guide to the best simple eateries there in Cebu.
thank you so much! More food vids coming soon 😍
@@ShevandDev What a fun couple. You guys are a real hoot!
(And HOT!)
Hello Shev and Dev! This is Karen, commenting on my husband’s account 😊. I grew up in the Philippines before migrating here in the U.S. Thank you for supporting the street food vendors!
That’s what I miss from the Philippines…the food, people and hospitality!
Sometimes they add evaporated milk with the buko (coconut) juice.
Hi Karen! Thank you so much, we hope you come back to visit the Philippines soon! Take care 🥰
You are so sweet couple, I like watching your videos
@@ShevandDev PAG PAG food, garbage never will I eat street food.
It is also called "mani" in Tagalog,Ilokano and our Cordilleran language. i think it is one word where all Filipinos understand each other regardless of the region we come from.❤
FYI. Mani is the common word for peanuts in Español. Formally it is known as Cacahuates!
Many of your words are from Español. Chorizo también!
Ano yung "kantutan" sa cordillera language?
wow great to know, thanks! 😍
I really love this couple, they are genuinely kind and sweet
21:00 what you got there is a plantain banana, you can still eat it like that i.e. like a regular banana, but plantain is primarily eaten cooked. That kind of banana is the banana used in 'turon's' , 'banana cue/ginanggang (grilled banana)', 'maruya (fried banana's with batter)', etc.
Hello Shev and Dev, thanks for visiting Cebu again, the city where I originally came from. Enjoy to the fullest and hope you will stay there a bit longer. I'm always looking forward of watching your videos. You are both sooo lovely
Thank you so much! It's been great visiting your home city 😍
Aside from rice, bread is Pinoy staple. So you can buy them depending on type as low as Php 2 for pandesal...
Hi! Shev n Dev check if you can try when you come to Manila by ship 2Go Travels and make it sure you book in suite class accomodation and you can experience like in a cruise ship.take care and enjoy here in the Philipines
Your English is easily understandable that's why I watch ur vlogs for learn English
Luv from Bharat 🇮🇳
seriously i don’t have enough words to say! thank you🤗..for helping those local vendors take care.
thank you so much Bernadette🥰
Thats naturals juices
The national dish of the Philippines is called "pagpag." It's made by refrying chicken bones that have been collected from the trash. Since the majority of the people in the Philippines live in slums and lack education, a lot of them have to find discarded bones in restaurants, refry them, and eat them.

Hello ma'amBernadette, nasubs napo kita 😊
I absolutely love garlic fried peanuts… one of my favorite snacks!
They were super yum! Quite addictive too haha 😂
You guys are so fun I love it!! Makes me wanna go to the Philippines and know my background even more!
You guyz are literally walking along the road where the company I was working before is located. This makes me miss Cebu so much. That buko juice you were drinking is mix with either evaporated milk or condense milk then they put ice in it to make it more refreshing. The frrsh raosted peanut or mani is something I am craving here abroad. Nothing like that here abroad esp the spicy. Thanks for the vlog, I really enjoy this content.
ah no ways! Hope you visit Cebu again soon 😊
4:24 I LOVE the segue!! Sooo smooth!
The lumpia in china from us called lumpiang sariwa
Sariwa - fresh
The lumpia in Cebu is called lumpiang togue or lumpiang gulay ..
Togue - bean spout,.... ,Baguio beans ,carrots & cabbage ( strir fried & deep fry)
You guys are so lovely. You have inspired me and my hubby to travel. It’s our aim to save up and head off to Asia for a year or so. Thanks guys 💛.
Wow! I appreciate that you take note of the price and conversion. That really helps a lot of tourists. I’ve been to other asian countries too and aside from they don’t know english, you also have no idea of the real price
Thx for the fun vid, Cebu is on my list of retirement choices, right now I’m partially ensconced in Chiang Mai..very tough choice 😱🇹🇭🇵🇭
Wow your so kind to our country your welcome here because of the kindness both of you im trying hard to speak English because i don't know speak fluent by the way thank you for helping the vendors here in phillipines❤❤❤❤
I am happy to see you again here in the Phillipines, welcome back to the Phillipines mabuhay.Enjoy exploring the city of Cebu and the beautiful scenery of cebu, and the food.Have fun ànd be safe,Godbless you both!❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🇵🇭
❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🥰
Thank you so much! 😍
Welcome back Shev and Dev! I'm so glad you're back in our country! I always love your videos!
We are so happy to be back 😍
Welcome to our hometown cebu
Cebu City very friendly people and Delicious Street Food
That is SABA banana is for banana cue, turon or boiled banana and also used in halo halo ingredients and sometimes use in Bulalo ingredient
The buko juice from the jar has sugar. But you can ask the vendor to open a fresh coconut. It's just a bit expensive around 30 to 50+ pesos each buko.
wow we paid 100 pesos for a fresh coconut on an island tour in the previous video 🤯
Thank you for supporting local vendors 💕 really appreciated this kind of vlogger ~
What you're drinking is not pure buko juice.
They usually add evaporated milk, sugar and ice. So if the ice melts its gonna be like water added. If you like pure coconut, tell them to open up a coconut fruit for you.
4:25 yes it does rain a lot in the phillipines cause there was a storm passing by
I could tell that you guys are absolutely having a blast here in the Philippines! That is why i never left the Philippines from SF, California.😊😊🤞🤞👌👌
You two are my favorites. Legit a good people.
When you suddenly leave Cebu after your last vlog in 2022, then, you went on to different countries, I thought you were dissapointed in the Philippines.
But you came back in Cebu, your last vlog last year so you want more of Cebu. Plus Manila in BER months has awful traffic, so good decision to go Visayas in BER months.
We would never be disappointed in the Philippines 😍 thank you so much for your support, we may leave for a little but always come back 😍
Another kick @ss inspiring and fun video❤. Thanks you two for supporting these hard working locals. 🙏🇵🇭
Thats so kind of you, thank you so much ❤
When I go to the Philippines, it's Cebu I want to go to. And that food all looked so good!
Everything goes with a dipping sauce, haha its fun and tasty too😍❤
heres the thing about lechon in the phillipines, lechon is a national dish in general but the cebu lechon is unique because it uses younger pig. the skin is more crispier and tastier as well as the meat, you can eat it as is without the aid of sauce, unlike the lechon in manila or any other places, dipping the the lechon in it sauce enhances the flavor.the cebu lechon does not need that... so everyone prefers the cebu lechon over the regular lechon if its available.
Yay I’m going Cebu in January! Can’t wait!
Go there sinulog
That was awesome street food experience! Almost everyone you pass by had greets and smiles. Lechon was super crispy!😎👌👍
Gotta love Filipino food and people!
We certainly after that "crunch" 😉 heheh thanks for watching ❤
I am from Cagayan de Oro City in Mindanao, the city of golden friendship. I speak Cebuano language as it is the native tongue in our place. That's why I consider myself as Cebuano.
Korek ka bai, native and origin bisaya jud ang cebu. Taga Cdo pud ko bai.
Although the banana you had can be eaten as is, it is usually fried with or without brown sugar or boiled or turned into lumpia with jackfruit. These methods makes them more tasty.
That's good to know! hahaha we were wondering why it was kinda fat 🤣
@@ShevandDev yeah that's cause it's plantain
I love this couple. Looking forward to watch your vlogs about the Philippines.
Hi Shev and Dev ... you guys are amazing. All smliles all way. Hoping you'll both can spend christmas season and I know that you both know it and already started!
ah yes! We have heard the Christmas songs already hehe 😍
Shev and Dev thank you for coming back to Cebu amazing video
you guys are one of the best vloggers 💚
The one you ate big banana is called Saba we used to cook that in deep fry with coated caramelized sweet brown sugar. that is not a fruit banana the thin one , directly to eat fresh. But this video is so much fun you gave me a smile on my face😊😊😊
the banana you've ate is called SABA and mostly used for cooking( nilagang baka, pootchero etc) or dessert (Banana Qr ginataan or minatamis na saging
Oh no ways haha! It was still pretty tasty 🤣
For someone wondering, filipinos are very shy when it comes to “libre” or treating them to a food something like that. Thats why they says theyll buy themselves instead. But tbh, deep inside i know kuyas in the video is very grateful for that.
Pls dont take it as a bad thing. We are just shy 😂❤
Such a well-made video!
I love this couple, thanks welcome back
This deserves a subscribe!
Mani is tagalog for peanut. The sweet peanut is coated with sugar.
i like the enthusiasm of you both with the Philippines, ok im subscribing 😊
Salamat po sa pag bisita sa phillippines thanks 👍👍👍
Thanks for exploring and showcasing our country 🇵🇭 to the world ❤
Try kk crispy pata in valenzuela, J&B chicken in marikina, tonangs palabok in mandaluyong
You're awesome guys.
Salamat!
that banana is a plantain variety... mostly for cooking, however unlike most plantain, saba (the name), can be eaten like any other bananas
I haven't been to Cebu now i see the streets are so clean, the atmosphere so relaxed unlike of course bustling Manila, the people friendliest. That fat banana 🍌 is locally called saba usually incorporated into main dishes
I would love to go to the Philippines and would like to experience what you are experiencing like riding in jeepney, tasting street foods, drinking fresh coconut, crossing the streets without stop light and talking to the smiling Filipinos. Love this video. More power.
The Philippines has it all, hope you can visit soon 😍
Thanks for the awesome video in Cebu. Cheers !🍻
the kuya singer at the end.. yooo! :D
Good example for how a holiday in the Philippines can go if you are open minded. You can just go down ONE road and have so many encounters and adventures - if you want and open for it :)
Welcome back again, we've met in bohol, i have a picture with the two of you, stay safe and hope to see you again
Welcome back here in Cebu guys. Enjoy as always !
Welcome back.hire in Philippines.. Kamustah Mabuhay.❤
That type of banana si Saba, used for Turon, Banana Q, and if you cut to small pieces, an ingredient in Halo Halo
a dessert banana, that makes sense haha😂
the vehicles are still called Jeepneys, every province would have different variations of it but they are indeed simply called jeepneys wherever you go 🚙
That peanut guy is so nice!! I wouldve given him a good tip! The coconut lady too! I watched vloggers and see them tip people for being so nice and helpful. Theyre very poor and only make so little! Thank you for tipping them!
Another wonderful video. I enjoyed it ❤❤❤.
Enjoy your stay here and keep safe🇵🇭 welcome to cebu
8:58 no they add like milk and sugar on it its not natural... because here in quezon city i always buy buko juice near to my house like that and the color is transparent. so yeah but both taste good its just the one that i drink much natural. love from manila
They add milk and condensed milk on those coconut drinks. I saw them make it on the spot they add a glass of milk and a swirl of condensed milk.
I love your vibes. Enjoy more and keep safe, lots of love from Philippines😊
Thank you so much!!❤
15:13 That why those chilis are only used for squeeze into the sauce, but not eating.. (Well, in Bicol they would eat them to, its the spicy region of the Philippines..
But I have seen a lot of foreigners thought "hey, when we get them served they cant be THAT spicy" ;) hehe
And you know how spicy it must be when Shev said its spicy (I dont know where she is from but at least from my guess I think she is used to spicy food)
We are both from South Africa and yes we can handle some spicy stuff 😉
Maayon Gabii 👋😊 as far as I know they put some kind of milk in the buko juice 🥤 condensed milk and a little bit of sugar 🤤 lame kaayo 🤤
That banana is named "kardaba"...and mostly to be cook just like banana cue, banana chips, steamed banana and grilled banana😊
It’s actually saba; lakatan is smaller and a true banana. Saba is a plantain.
a sweet treat! Sounds yum 😍
Oh my gosh. The peanut vendor is along Ramón Duterte Street where I used to live before. OMG! Good to see you enjoying Cebú.
Yes i think that right! Such a cool street to go exploring 😍
I went to Cebu in 1985. The airport was still an old US airbase, converted!
hi shev & dev, mabuhay. we are happy that you are back in cebu. i was glad you are enjoying your stay in our city. we love you both so much.
Aw thank you so much, we are so happy to be back 😍
I enjoyed watching your vlogs 🥰
The Lechón in The Philippines is good. But I really miss the Colombian version! Stuffed belly with rice pilaf and split peas! 😋
we gotta try that! 😍
@@ShevandDev you need to visit S. America. Chile, Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia. And then Mexico!
Vendor: Hanging rice
Dev: Why do you hang it?
Vendor: Rice is hanging
He didn't hang it, the rice just hangs by its own.
13:06 it's not hanging rice anymore
I was surprised. The video ended suddenly. I was expecting to see more. 😊
Watching from Toronto Canada MABUHAY Enjoy
Welcome to cebu, enjoy po 👍😁
That banana is usually for cooking like banana q, turon and other banana products. It's not usually eaten raw bec its now that sweet.
They add evaporated milk if I'm not mistaken 😊 a little bit of sugar
They open the coconut, put the juice in the container, scrape the coconut meat, put it in the container. Maybe they add sugar.
Guy ilove your vlog so,sweet and so fun and great street food
hope you can vlog Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, Bagac, Bataan, Philippines
There's a night market in IT Park and in Carbon Public market. You can savor several kinds of foods and drink.

@@ShevandDevPhilippines is one of the jolly country😊
Will never get bored so many places to explore!
it is a fat banana because it is a different specie/variety of banan. that kind of banana is the one commonly use as banana que
YUUUUMMM! Love the fried peanuts with plenty of garlic!👌❤💥
