These almost always prevent people from truly experiencing different places, people, food, and cultures. Get away from the rest of the tourists and meet the people away from the hotels. But then I went to Cebu and had all kinds of delicious food that could even rival Thai food in quality. It may sound ridiculous but it surprised me as well.
