Got through the first four before realizing I hadn’t commented. This has been the perfect audible company on a gloomy fall day in Oregon. Working on cars and learning about Agrippa from Dr. Sledge. 👍
Yes. Similar here, totally agree. Splitting wood and doing landscaping, great companion for work. Very cool info I'm an absolute novice on this stuff but I find it very interesting. Some of it will sink in
Agrippa seems, more and more, to be a likable guy. Has anyone ever made a film about him or a tv series? I can see the Germans being interested in him enough to. Great work Dr Sledge.
I NEED, AT LEAST, a movie about Agrippa. An entire series would be incredible 😩🙌 I NEED IT
@@ChipWhitehouse Interesting to see how many of these German "intellectuals" (and others too!) adopted classical names. Seems to have been an affectation and we see even a lot of the Protestant reformers doing this as well like Melanchthon etcetera. I wonder why this chap chose "Agrippa" - must be some connection to ancient Rome -"Agrippa" being emperor Augustus' right hand man whose name appears on the dedication of the Pantheon building in Rome (Agrippa fecit.)
@@eljefeamericano4308 Thanks -though it seemed to have been an affectation especially in the Renaissance for people to give themselves classical names - seem to be quite prominent in Scandinavia too to have Latinized name endings like Linnaeus , Arrhenius and that type of thing even in our own times.
"The content of your channel is exceptionally informative and engaging, standing out for the depth with which it addresses the topics and the clarity in its presentation. Each video is a true lesson, filled with valuable and well-founded insights that captivate and educate the audience in a masterful way."
Love this Aleister Crowley quote
Enjoyed!

You have inspired me to rebuild my Father's sizable library that was lost years ago. It may take the rest of my days, but so be it! Meanwhile, thank you for this superb content! I will order a shirt soon!
This lecture series is one of the best things that happened in 2024-am deeply grateful!
Thanks! The time has come for more Agrippa!
This course gets more and more fascinating.
They way you make sense of the literary and cultural developments of the time and place Agrippa is beautiful. You show incredible respect towards the thinking of that time period and how humans in that time felt like they related to the world around them.
Tak! Brilliant presentation of Heinrich Cornelius Agrippas esoteric library. 🙏
Cannot express my appreciation enough. I’ll continue to help as much as I can, though paling in comparison to the value you’ve given us all
I am a recent subscriber of your channel and I just joined your Patreon! The education you are providing is truly indispensable 🖤
Many thanks !
@@gothicgrace8043 I second that 😊
I appreciate your service to humanity
"Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft" 1986 does indeed include Theban and it is that particular version of the Theban script that has become the modern one, but Huson's "Mastering Witchcraft" 1970 contains a nearly identical version of the script other than lacking the sentence terminal character and flat-out refers to it as "the witch's alphabet". Both appear to derive their versions of Theban from Barrett's "The Magus" 1801 though I highly suspect this is in turn borrowed from some other older source (probably in French). Differences in the forms of 'B', 'D', 'Q', 'R', & 'Z' set them apart from the original Trithemius & Agrippa versions of Theban script.
Enjoyed this lecture. Some years ago, I heard or read about a conversation between Buddha and one of his junior disciples. The young person asked, that if he followed the path, he would learn how to levitate and other cool stuff. Buddha said yes, but there was the danger of becoming distracted, diverted by getting tangled up in what were still mundane things, and thus off the true path.
This video is fascinating, (as are all of your presentations,) and I especially appreciate what you revealed about the Hermetic Kabbalah.
As a self-educated occult practitioner of some decades now, I have long differed from many of my contemporaries in the matter of the "Tree of Life" Kabbalistic diagram, as I have never been able to accept it as a worthwhile depiction of the actual process of divine emanation or creation. Though I have tried many, many times to absorb it and to use it meaningfully in my craft, (the Tarot associations being, for me, the most compelling reason to attempt to understand it,) I have always found it to be fundamentally unsound for my purposes. It has always felt far too arbitrary and far too static a symbol to justly describe or understand the divine... and lo and behold, the original Kabbalah was fluid, ever changing, and dynamic, you say?! Hah! That gives me a very happy, validated feeling in my heart! Thank you, for that, and for all other pieces of knowledge with which you have enriched my mind!
All the best, beannachtai, and Blessed Be.

Dr Sledge, really enjoying these lectures on Agrippa. Thank you very much.
I just have to thank you again for doing this. I am enjoying and absorbing every single second of this. EXTREMELY grateful 💕💖🙏💖💕
Each episode just gets more interesting and intriguing! Thank you Dr Sledge!
I just want to thank you and the Patreon supporters for making this wonderful series possible.
Having tried to read Aggripa's 3 with no prior knowledge, this course has been a game-changer! I understand so much more of what I read, and why it was the way it was. Looking forward to more as I pick those books back up with a much more full understanding!
Meditating during this lecture sent me straight to the stars. I appreciate the scholarship ❤.
I’m genuinely curious, how does one focus on the lecture while meditating?
So helpful for understanding the Three Books! Proud patron here, and glad that I finally got time to watch this one since that means I don’t have to wait long for the next episode!
These have been saving me at work. Thank you for your studies and lectures.
These lectures aren't just great for understanding Agrippa. I feel like it's expanding my historical context for the era as well.
Yes, the connection with the Protestant Reformation is eye-opening!
Me waiting patiently for each episode 🤓🍿
Amazing! I love listening you talk about magic books. Soothes my soul.
Very interesting topic for me who is new to esoteric and exoteric subjects in a scholarly sense. Thank you for making this series available for us!
Just have to tell you how great this course is.
Appreciate your well thought and scholarly informative approach, as well as some interesting humor i particularly enjoy.
Thank you!
Thank you Dr Sledge I am loving these classes 🙏
Thanks for making these available such so that when I'm on the road, I don't need to fall too terribly behind. Great lecture.
I’m just loving this series. I’m so here for the class on reading the texts you mentioned: Plato in Iamblichus’ order, Ficino and the rest. Can that be your next open source class 🙏🙏🙏
This particular series has been amazing!
Can't wait to rep Esoterica with a t shirt.
Easily the best, most consice lecture on these topics.
You've been instrumental in deepening my understanding of the grimoires I have, and my theory and practice therein.
"Getting laid, getting treasure and getting horses." 😎
Thank you for another compelling lecture. I can't say that I understand or follow everything but with challenge comes growth so... I keep at it.
39:24 NOT “MAKE MAGIC GREAT AGAIN” 😩😩🤣😭😭😭
I appreciate each and every video you create, I hope you stop aging so you can continue to teach, once you end up dying (may you rest in peace) I will create a channel dedicated to you and I will also teach people. This is the inspiration you give to others, see it thrive and grow. To many long years to come.
Had been waiting patiently! Just the stuff about Plato, words and magic is truly eye-opening. So glad I stumbled across your channel and dedicated my time to pt 1. Truly humbling content, gorgeous
I keep rewinding so many of your sentences, because there is much depth to them, yet I have never considered any of it before. Possibly a lot of what you might consider less-important or filler sentences, are still mindblowing for a newbie like me. Thanks mister, opening doors and eyes
Please do the readings
Hey major thanks for all your videos , especially these Agrippa videos, they’re all way under appreciated in my opinion but absolutely amazing so thank you.
Maybe consider a video on Rudolf Steiner; yes he’s from the late 1800s early 1900s but the correlations I find are crystal clear between his work and a lot of earlier esoteric writers and philosophers.
Either way I’m grateful for you and your efforts.
Thanks Justin!
Just wanted to pop in with a huge thank you: I deeply love, respect, and enjoy this channel and your mission. Gonna see about helping out on Patreon later.
this lecture series is so awesome
Thank you for your work, you are greatly appreciated 🙇♂️❤️
So thankful for these Dr
👍 yes, have a video on Trithemius!
Your content gets better every time man. I've been watching for years and this is my favorite video of yours. Thank you so much.🎉
Thank you so much for your work.
Yes up vote to the class on historical text read the way the ancients read them!
Thanks!
Mr. Sledge with all of this knowledge you could join a magical lodge and ascend it fast. You will experience subjectively what you've been studying. A Golden Dawn lineage like the Regardie-Ciceros is a great start.
Really loved this lesson. This course keeps getting better! This one made me appreciate Iamblichus a little more and made want to re-read him.
....why do I love this stuff?
I broke down and picked up the Purdue. Gonna need to hustle some Tarot readings to pay for it! Anybody wants a Philip K. Dick Tarot reading hit me up.
let me get my cup of tea and my notes
As always I don't follow a lot of what you discuss but I find it fascinating.
This is insanely informative thank you
First time I’ve ever been glad I was beat with a Bible, should totally follow Agrippa’s process. Who wouldn’t want magic Jesus sauce? 😇😈
Be great to hear you explain more about the Tree being fossilized in the West sometime.
Wow very well done video. I just wanted to say thanks for so much history on this subject. Impressive amounts of information. Just wanted to say thanks.
Make Magic Great Again?! 🤣😂🤣 I love it!!!

Here to buy you a beer!
Excellent work on this series! So much depth and a clear sense of passion for the topic. Question, though: 11:15 - what is this compilation called? Is it currently in print? Thank you!⚕️
Can't remember where I read this, but Trithemius--with whom Agrippa had shared his juvenile ms--may himself have shared it with Albrecht Duerer, who was in some despair over his inability to conjure a unified theory of art. This would explain the title of his 1513-14 etching Melencolia I.
Can you do a video on the occult quality of gemstones throughout the ages, including the different theories of where their powers come from?
I’d just like to know which books/Grimoires he would recommend for this topic.
That would rock
De mineralibus is going to be your central text here
"Making magic great again"
This is an amazing, thorough and fascinating deep dive. Thank you! Where is the library list? I cannot find it.
Just finished all 3 volumes.
De Vita is a wonderful read.
I think a lecture on all the esoteric influences, Plato had, especially on the western esoteric tradition, would actually be quite interesting. Of course it has come up in lots and lots of your videos, but having it in one central place would nevertheless be supremely interesting and convenient.
It's all just kinda Platonism.
@@TheEsotericaChannelThat’s what one of my English professors said to discourage me from digging into W.B. Yeats’ A VISION. Didn’t work, of course. 😅
Thanks! Great series and channel.
Do anyone have more information on why Haneegraaf’s Lazarelli book been out of print for so long? A used copy selling for $5K on Amazon currently. He teased at a new edition, but that was maybe a couple years ago.
Is this book the true key to gnosis or something?
I asked him about it and yep, still prepping a new edition
Great content Justin!! would you mind to share the link to Trithemius library catalog?
www.google.com/books/edition/Antipalus_Maleficiorum/cr-ntgAACAAJ?hl=en&gbpv=1&printsec=frontcover
Dr Sledge is their a version of the 3 books on life that you recommend? Also you made them sound integral to self actualization did you integrate anything from them in your own life? Or do you not find them so credible? You made them sound extremely important so I was curious if you read it and recommend reading it?
If the "dignitas" of humans separates them from fate (a la astrology, and squaring the circle), then how does he suppose that those venutian talismans work? Wouldn't they need to be applying magic onto another person? Is that person somehow not separated from fate by adding another layer?
I wonder if Agrippa's hatred of grimoire magic was an inspiration for Susanna Clarke's Gilbert Norrell?
55:41 everything from this section kinda snaps the Yanuka into context for me. It reads, to me at least, like a rewrite of how Jesus could’ve been seen by the rabbis in the story, and framed in a purely Jewish, non-Messianic way
Can you comment on the book: The Language of Demons and Angels by Christopher Lehrich, and the quality of this book expanding our understanding of the occult philosophy? Your lecture series is great, thank you for your passion and time.
Can you please post the link to the video of yours mentioned around 11:18 ? It would be much appreciated 🙏🏻
I am making a Patreon list ☺️
Cheers.
The Qabbalistic Hustle really deserved more radio time in the seventies.
A historical note: Theban shows up in Paul Huson's _Mastering Witchcraft_ in 1970, though he calls them simply "Witch Runes" or "Witches' Alphabet".
Where's the link to Trithemius' library catalogue?
Really enjoying the series so far, but did the Stoics believe they could escape fate? I was under the impression they believed that even a Sage was subject to fate, but just didn't suffer as a result.
Their interior states weren't shaped by it, only the "externals"
@@TheEsotericaChannel Thanks!
MOOOAAAARRRR!
Thanks
Most people nowadays dont see astrology as excluding the notion of free will
One wonders if a sort of hierarchy of needs appeal would have swayed Agrippa. If through magic we render our physical needs met, quicker than if we solved them through ordinary means, then one would have more time to exalt god.
Make Magic Great Again
The hymns are yeah their strange theology would be even stranger & inquisitorially problematic
Huh i had not known that of the sefiroth. It feels more correct, more true, that there is motion, more like ten dancers affected by the music than a series of irrigation pipes & catchments which rain fills
Which episode do we get our own God Powers?
Eleventy-fiorne
28:28 Don't forget the Maqlu Anti-Witchcraft Ritual and Babylonian Libraries of Magic tablets.
I have a whole episode about it!

Is science a form of magic , like atomic tech , bio weapons , cloning and so much more .
A lot of musicians just tap into that super consciousness for that music and then a lot of them will sell out their morals for fame
you ever think that agrippa's got that agrippy?
