Ancient Magical Practice to Summon & Learn From the Angel of Wisdom - The Sar Torah

  • Wisdom is among the most precious and hard won human achievements - what if there were a way to magically obtain vast knowledge, infinitely expand one's memory and learn the secrets of reality? The conjuration of the Sar Torah (Prince of the Torah) just just such an ancient Jewish magical practice. Emerging around the time of the Chariot Mystics, the Sar Torah required radical fasting, purity and esoterica divine and angelic names to summon the Angel of Wisdom to learn all their wisdom at once. Though, it came as tremendous risk - the risk of life and sanity.

For real. So, so much of this obscure, unusual or - more damningly - critical knowledge is hidden behind paywalls and gatekeepers in various organizations. It's refreshing to be able to find an honest scholar who still believes in the importance of passing on knowledge gained, and the sanctity of that endeavor above and beyond the importance of personal avarice.

It's crazy that I've been watching Dr. Sledge for almost 2 years now, feels like I've gotten a true degree in esoterica that you wouldn't find in actual schools. My college had barely any esoteric classes besides a Mysticism of East&West course I took during my bachelors (with a dope teacher), and a lot of my philosophy course teachers knew nothing about these topics or thought they weren't important or "too spiritual/religious?" for some reason. We need more teachers like Dr. Sledge!

    • @LadyCoyKoi

I full heartily agree. These topics of ancient studies are a lost knowledge and studies. not even highly well known universities have these classes besides the superficial knowledge and not an in-depth look into esoteric studies. Dr. Sledge is a blessing for the academic and philosopher... even novice alchemist and necromancer can appreciate what he is doing for us all.

What I learned from this video is that Enoch's transformation must have REALLY annoyed the angels and Paul's descent with Merkava mysticism was extremely harrowing and he REALLY must have loved JC to not only go through all of that, but to also follow up with the gentiles.

Interestingly enough still today the Brahmins/Pandits in India will not eat garlic and onions. Many reasons are given particularly that these foods produce rajasic type thinking. However, one much less common reason presented is that if the Pandit is doing Mantra, Puja or a fire ceremony the Devas will not be evoked due to the smell. Cleanliness is an absolute for the priest for any spiritual practice followed by additional purification mantras for even the most basic of pujas (ceremony). These same rules are generally mandatory for the non priestly participants as well.

Wait so do angels dislike us humans in Jewish lore? I'm so used to the idea that angels have a relatively positive (albeit rather pensive) view of us, I'm not so educated on whether that's Christian or not. The idea that the angels disdain us and experience our presence as reeking mortals who don't deserve creation is absolutely metal. It goes against everything I assumed of how they felt.
Amazing video by the way, I'm always excited when you post ❤

    • @KebaRPG
      @KebaRPG 8 місяців тому +4

I do not think it is dislike by the Angels, but that they are tasked with guarding knowledge that used improperly may lead to the extinction of Humans and Other Life on Earth. More that by destroying one person recklessly pursuing knowledge for "knowledge's sake" they are protecting the rest of God's Creation.
You may also only be thinking of the Modern view of Guardian Angels which are tasked with protection of individual people or groups of people. Such Guardian Angels are on the Lowest Tiers of Celestial Hierarchy in the scheme of the Universe as a whole. In Lore of Ancient Jewish and Christian Denominations there are many Angels which are tasked to maintain the Order of the Workings of the Universe put into place by God. Many of such Angels may appear indifferent to Humans and more hyper-focused on tasks given to them by God. As a result of being disturbed from their task by reckless Humans may destroy such Human.

I had an experience in the early 2000"s where I felt the presence of a spirit that changed my religious thinking greatly. I refer to it as having a tattoo put on my mind and soul. It included a great deal of information shared almost immediately from this spirit. More important than the volume of information was the quality of the information. I feel that those who study and memorize scripture may integrate the body of the knowledge into a deeply internal thought process which allows an almost automatic response to challenges presented. At the end of the experience a word was spoken that was unknown to me. The word was "Jerah" (sorry about not knowing the spelling of this word). Thanks for sharing all the information you present on this channel.

The great seal and the awesome crown rituals do impart vitality which gives the person who performs these rituals the ability and motivation to keep performing them. I learned from a Daoist magician that this positive feedback system is a sign that God has accepted the performance of the ritual and conversely, any negative feedback is a sign that God has rejected the performance of the ritual.
In my own experiences, these rituals prevent the common illnesses and misfortunes that occur when doing ceremonial magic or praying in general. However, the common illnesses and misfortunes are not necessarily a bad thing since the book of Isaiah says, "he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

I don't know if you mentioned them or not, but there are a class of angels far stronger than the arch angels called, seraphim and ophanim. Ophanim in particular is one angel well known for sharing knowledge to humans when they appear before us and share vast knowledge from God. Though Ophanim finds our realm rather slow and they properly find teaching us like pulling teeth. They hate having their time being wasted on hanging around with mortals, unless God demands them to. They rather spend time in their eternal massive endless library in Heaven, since they are well known for their obsession with acquiring knowledge. I find them to be one of my favorite angels to study. They have so much knowledge they can alter physics with their minds and are known to be only second to God when it comes to divine power. I would hate to encounter an Ophanim who has fallen, because they can easily over take both Satan and God if they work simultaneous as one unit... very scary indeed which is why when they appear they have to say, "Do not fear." It is good that they are on Gods' side and find us humans rather funny creatures, similar to how we humans view cats. Now I am imaging an Ophanim angel being allergic to a Scottish ginger hair human. 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for another insightful video on the topic of angel magic and summoning.

    "Academic publishing cartels"
Yes, that's exactly what they are! I don't want to pollute your comments section by the sorts of curses I think they deserve for any number of reasons, but fully agreed that it's ridiculous that things are made "accessible" by making them only accessible to those with large disposable incomes. The democratization of the Sar Torah techniques implied by some of the texts is absolutely betrayed by such cartel behaviors. If those who don't do the preparations correctly for the Sar Torah practices are reduced to a pool of their own bile, then there has to be something in which those who make this material accessibly inaccessible should be converted into something like platinum dust in a tornado: let them become what they value most highly, and their materialistic natures be scattered.

OMG So much of this is reminding me of my own fairly rigid Mormon upbringing. Mormonism has this weird fixation on being included amongst the Tribes of Israel (they consider themselves to be something like 'perfected jews' who aren't allowed to advertise it yet but who are gonna lead/save everybody), but i'm fascinated by how much of the daily ritualistic/behavioural minutiae crosses over to my extreme/fundamentalistic mormon childhood. The fetish for reading and re-reading and the emphasis on rote memorisation are particularly familiar. @7:20 To this day, my brother and i both have WICKEDLY good memorisation skills. :)

I didn't fast with this intention...but I do see now where I went wrong. I did come apon a book while post fasting and a deck deck of cards both using the Merkabah phrase to Wich I had never heard used before. I won't be attempting this again anytime soon. As I am still in physical recovery over a year later from fasting down to 78 pounds....and boy oh boy did I stink. I'm guessing coffee and green peppers, and Marlboros need should be refrained from. But I feel like I learned allot today. I will likely now wait until my child is grown and I am post mensi before actually attempting this.

This is kind of a mental overload. This is actually more difficult than at least the reads of the Sefirot Zohar.
    A couple of issues
If we dont know how to properly translate the greek magical papyri, how can we claim an association, is this just by style and genre?
Second issue. It seems like the bible is anti-mystical except within the domain of prophets who have at least some birth right to being a prophet, and prophesy generally confines itself to certain things like glorifying the splendor of Yahweh, speaking about the future doom of some impious figure, or glorifying a future temple or kingdom.
Many of these texts seem to fall along the axis of western mysticism, but in your passage describing Akiva going back and forth to conjure holy spirit, it sounded very much like a mesopotamian tale. This issue of creating a psychological barrier to mysticism seems like an attempt to be esoteric and scare away or fend of exterior mystical attempts (e.g. Peters respinse to Simon the Samarian joining the Jesus movement).
I think this was a kind of wall between most Judaism and a certain level of practice.
And what about Akiva, he's like a Daniel/Hercules figure, going all these places and heroically doing all the magical stuff while everyone else falls short.
I think that the invocation of angels and the intense preparatory rituals are an attempt to make the mysticism so difficult, and if the mystic says something that the teacher doesn't like, well its because the traveler was not prepared. Fasting rituals are a kind of Magick, as well as intense prayers . . . . .Its very difficult to make a comment about the value of the mysticism because its so entrenched in pious rituals its almost to say that the mysticism is the pious rituals and little more. You invoke and angel on your behalf by being extremely pious and circumvent the problem of seeing Yahweh's junk.

When thinking of the lengths that scholars would go to assist them in memorizing and understanding ancient texts, I’m reminded of some of the poignant last words of Pope John Paul I, before his death from exhaustion “if only someone could invent a machine that could read for you.”

Excellent video. I marvel at the sheer amount of information you have in your head.
When are you going to do a video about the Mideaval monasteries and scriptoriums where the monks sat for years on end copying texts. There has to be an esoteric side to that somewhere. I think that would be very interesting.
