Slender The Arrival - Speedrun Any% Hardcore in

Got my world record back in this category. Really love hardcore speedruns, "into the abyss" the main sources of resets here :)
Big waste of time happened in "Escape", because Slenderman did not want to appear in the house after closing 7 windows (usually after you close 6-7 windows/doors, he appears in the house and you don't need to close all 8 windows/doors, after his appearance just run back to your room to finish this chapter). Then I almost fucked up "the arrival", as I was doing pause buffer a little to the left than usual, but I was able to fix the situation and did everything right, but again I lost a little time because of this. It was lucky that I was able to grab the last 2 notes in the final part of "the arrival" very quickly, otherwise I definitely wouldn't have broken the previous world record by Wolfy (18:35). Also thanks to him for a new trick in the prologue, very cool death warp strat at the start. GG ~

I still wonder why Kate has her main and back door open like she knows that Slender is after her so why don't let at least a few windows open where you are that's the only problem i have with this game

i really don't know how you did it, i tried Hardcore and in The Eight Pages, Slender would be extremely quick and run to me, dead in 5 seconds

How can I avoid him if he's consistently teleporting on my back on "8 Pages"? I've been stuck on it for quite a bit bc there seems to be no way to avoid him when he is giving me a good ole back rub as I'm trying to get away from him, is there something I'm missing?

This also happened to me when my vsync was enabled. Check your game settings and turn off vsync if it is enabled, maybe it will help.

Late with pointless advice, but if anyone else has this issue and tweaking the vsync doesn't fix it, you should try capping the FPS to ~60 or so. The AI gets faster with higher FPS counts.

Only if you play on hardcore difficulty, you don't need to collect gas on easy or normal
