- Hendrickx likes to challenge herself by skating to different styles of music and choreography. For the 2022-2023 season, she initially performed her free program to a more classical composition by Roby Facchinetti, but later changed the second half to a more upbeat, Latin-inspired mix of songs by INNA and Beyoncé.
Hendrickx said she "feels amazing" in the updated free program, as it allows her to showcase both joy and the opportunity to "put on a show", which suits her style. She noted that while she felt more comfortable in her short program, trying the new, slower-paced classical style in the free was good for her to demonstrate a different side of her skating.
In her free skate at the 2024 World Championships, Hendrickx landed five clean triple jumps, including a triple flip-triple toe combination, a triple Lutz, and a double Axel, showcasing her technical abilities.
However, she did have a fall on her attempted Lutz jump.

Why is everyone hating on her? She's never been my favorite skater, but she's not BAD. She nailed all the jumps in this program. So why so much hate?
The answer is very simple. She hated Russian figure skaters. She believed that because of them she could not enter the world elite of sports. Well, finally, there are no Russians in this championship. And she was skating on the ice with the grace of a cow.This is a fiasco. The Russians are just laughing at her in their comments.
Since she became first in the short program at the 2021 Gran Premio d'Italia and second in the short program at the 2022 European Championship, the "Russian media" made her look bad.
Posting translated interviews with her, which where in Flemish, but when i translated the Russian text of the interview to Dutch, French, English or German, it eather said the opposite of what she said or it was gibberish.
She even got bullied online and received death threats from the "Russian" fans, to the extend that she even couldn't perform on the Bol on Ice show.

Loena is very slow, heavy, and approaches her jumps with the utmost caution.
Although, to be honest, her antics in front of the judges look the worst.

The jumps and spins are very solid technically speaking but what is up with all of that arm swinging and slow skating? I appreciated the difficulty of her arms over her head during the jumps. That’s hard to do.
It's not difficult, on the contrary it's even easier
It's not hard to do if you're Russian, nearly every Russian skater has been doing it for many years now for every jump, but since they aren't allowed to skate anymore in these events, current skaters can take it easy. This girl knows how important it is to try and be like a Russian and I'm here for it.

You know, I like her skating, the jumps are beautiful...the problem is the program is only half choreographed. Too much pointless arm waving and if you are going to skate to a driving kind of dance beat, you have to create moves that capture this and have enough speed to carry the energy...I think you can make a case this was better technically than Levito but artistically this didn't sing...there needed to be more sass and snap in this kind of dance number. I think Isabeau sold the emotion of her program better.

It's been like this since she got first in the short program at the Grand Prix in Italy and it got worse after she had beaten two Russian girls in the short program at the European Championship in 2022.
The "Eteri bots" have been bullying her to the extend that had a she had mental block and couldn't even perform at Bol on Ice last year.
After 3 years they've never been creative enough to come up with anything else than "cow on ice".

The first woman to land a triple-triple combination was Midori Ito in 1980, Loena does these.
Shows how less you know about figure skating. You can watch a lot in internet but it's different when you skated and met great skaters like Katarina Witt, Suraya Bonaly, Denise Biellmann (you know from the spin), Oksana Baiul, Kristi Yamaguchi and many others.
Been talking with Niina, Katya, Lorine Camille and Pavel, Sara and Niccolo, took pictures with Kaori, Yuna a couple of weeks ago at the Challenge Cup.

Nic of them to choreograph 2 long stretches when she just stood on the ice and waved her arms around. Is her conditioning so bad that she can't skate for the whole time?
Her brother and his little boyfriend have such poor taste. Adam Rippon wasn’t very much better for Mariah Bell. Somehow because of the culture, staring into gay culture, class and sophistication is missing. I respect what Rohene does often for skaters that want a “Fun” program but to me Miss does that style the best out of the choreographer there. Even Jeff but does in a tasteful way most of the time. This was honestly trashy when she wasn’t aimlessly, throwing her arms around.

I love her skating and presentation usually, but I agree with you. Adam rippon wasn't great for Mariah, and it does seem like skating is getting more flamboyant and sexy, less class. Still love Loena though, and when Mariah skated to Celine Dion.
Adam has been Loena's choreographer for years, it was Loena who made the decision to go for this music and style, she wanted to go for something totally different than she did before.
Not my kind of music and still don't know if i really like it but it's something different and has grown on me.
Adam created whole kinds of different choreo's for Loena but also for Alexia Paganini, Lukas Britschgi, Janna Jyrkinen, Niina Petrokina, Nikita Sarostin, Elisaveta Tuktamysheva and others.
He's trying to corporate classic ballet, modern dance and contemporary movements in figure skating and Lori Nichol is his biggest inspiration.
I think it's a matter of personal taste, not everyone likes the choreo's of Benoît Richaud eather.

Идти-то он может идти, но деградация в женском и парном катании очевидная. Дело не в 4-х прыжах, а в медленном катании, неинтресных программах. Канадская пара каталась небрежно. Теперь будут старейшие чемпионы мира. Вам не смешно? Так может продолжаться какое-то время, но без реальной конкуренции этот вид спорта будет терять привлекательность и перестанет себя окупать.

Она, конечно, с травмой, но это мало что меняет. Если это лучшая короткая программа мира, то можно абсолютно уверенно назватт это денрадацией и это объясняет, почему им не нужны русские спортсмены.
