I would love to watch you do espresso machine repairs and servicing on the channel! You should record that...I don't think anyone else is really doing it.
True, I installed IMS Nano-screen on my machine since December. Every time when I tried to wish it with Cafeza solution, I found that it was so clean… I really suggest people with IMS nano-screen, GREAT Profuct
@@mitchdoescoffee One problem. I can't find anyone who stocks this in Australia. Plenty have the standard IMS screen but not the NT (other than Amazon)
My only concern, I know this sounds silly, but is the coating essentially just slowly coming off with every shot -does nano quartz contain pfo and pads’s? Is it essentially a teflon coating?
I've definitely thought about this... andnto be completely honest, I don't know. With micro plastics showing up in absolutely everything around us, I've given up being concerned & learned o just enjoy things.
legit. I've come to the same conclusion. we're literally breathing in microplastics while in the middle of the mountains at this point. we have merged...
what about backflushing with cafiza? theres a bunch of reddit posts saying it destrois the coating, is backflushing completely un necessary with the nano screen?
Is there any fear to scrubbing the coating off with daily wiping and scrub with a nylon espresso brush. I have both screen and basket in my Gaggia Classic and so far the coating is holding up to a daily scrubbing. Thank you & Cheers!
Hey, great question... As you can see in the video, the surface just does not hold water or coffee grounds... which means daily scrubbing is completely unnecessary. I would recommend back flushing with no chemicals daily & remove the Nanotech screen when a chemical back flush is due (Once every 4-5kg of coffee) as I have heard some RUMOURS that the Nanotech coating might have some issues with being dissolved by harsh chemicals (not confirmed) But you can stop scrubbing daily regardless, even a standard IMS shower does not need to be scrubbed daily, even when we are pouring shots back to back for hours on end the occasional simple water back flush & wipe is plenty.
I bought the uncoated IMS competition screen because I figured the nanotech coating was just marketing. That's amazing. I'm sold
I was expecting some kind of difference... but this is just incredible. 🙏

Hey! I have done a few different machines. And filming servicing makes it take about 3 times longer. 😂
Great Video!
Thanks Pedro 🙏 Collab soon 😎
Great to know thanks. I’ve ordered an E&B Lab (IMS) nanotech basket to try. Shower screen is next now.
Awesome! The difference is clear as day.
Love it Mitch 👌🏻👌🏻
Thanks buddy!
& thanks so much for tuning in. If you haven't already. I'd love it if you could click that subscribe button

Definitely... I'm surprised more people don't know about this.
my friend its not allowed to clean nanotech with chemical detergents, what do you know about that?
@user-wi7um6dr8t correct. Do not use any chemical on nanotech.
@@mitchdoescoffee thank you , so when its time to clean the machine i have to unfit the shower screen right?
@user-wi7um6dr8t Yes, that is right. You will need to pop it out and just put the group head seal in for a back flush. 👍
Wow! I'm convinced. Thanks for the test Mitch. I assume the Nanotech IMS screen fits the San Remo YOU like it does for the CUBE
It sure does. I genuinely can not believe how good it is. 🙏

@@WasimBarri do you follow my instagram? I will source one for you 🙏
I need this for my La Pavoni, but I don't think they make one yet 😭
I wish! 🙏 If we all annoy IMS enough, maybe they will make them.
@@mitchdoescoffee Ha. Emailing now.
Yes! Well done sir... I will take 1 also 😅

That is correct. Switch over to a standard basket for back flush.

May i know can it be use with puck screen?
Yes, however because it helps disperse the water so evenly, I haven't needed to use a puck screen.
