Because I will be sewing the cup unto the fabric by a quarter inch. If you look at the edge of your bra cup, the area that is flat, it is around a quarter inch. So it was logical for me to trim off quarter inch from the bodice of not I will be having excess. I hope this makes sense.

Thank you. You can add your dart and sew up before doing the cut out.

Why did you cut out quarter of an inch at the cup area before adding the cup. Thanks good teacher ❤
