Pastor Renner! Thank you for sharing this Christmas series. I've learned something new from each of the sermons I've listened to thus far. I'm a little late, but catching up on the series. It's a timeless story! I'm so grateful for the truth I've learned! Thank you again for the teachings!❤
Please explain the transaction that occurred upon His death, such that same redeemed believers? I thought our opportunity for salvation was not bc of His death, but bc He descended into hell, crossed into Paradise - defeating death and rose again to Earth and then ascended to Heaven. Why does a person’s belief that Jesus overcame or defeated His own death translate into salvation for the believer? And, how does one defeat save multiples from death? The math doesn’t make sense? BTW, I am a believer, I just think I’m missing something!
On the cross He said, "It is finished." That is where it was finished. He did not fight a battle in Hell. How did Jesus' death cover our sins? He was the sacrificial lamb who willingly took our place. Blood sacrifice is required for sin to be cleansed. Why? I don't know and I don't like it!
