Son uva digger has to be the most well put together monster truck ever built. That things damn near indestructible and ryan just abuses the hell out of it weekend after weekend yet he almost always fills his time. That chassis is a marvel of engineering

The men driving those bigwheel cars must have really good suspensions in their seats!
They used to but now they use solid mounted seats and strap in as tight as physically possible. The driver of gravedigger said it reduces the shock a significant amount.

you can probably find a video of them in the truck driving and stuff, they stay still the whole time, it’s absolutely crazy

Back in the shows I went to.. this was 2006-2015, every time anyone got big air back then was incredible. Everyone’s flash phones were going rapid. It was a crazy time, I wish I could go back to the 2000’s and 2010’s to relive it all.

Don't really have a lot of options for the freestyle without putting your trucks engine at high risk for failure. I think your looking for the skills challenges. For a monster truck freestyle #1 held his own.

I hate the fan judging I have seen so many freestyles where someone else should've won but 8 fan favorites ended up in front
@@1320_Justin fan judging should be the only form of judgement leave it to those paying to make a call based on what they observe and levels of excitement. It's not like theirs a real metric to flipping a truck and hitting jumps on them. He'll even BMX and pro skateboarding should have been fan selection since it's all based on entertainment.
The racing is the only thing in monster jam that can by definition be called a series. Everything else is just to fill seats for entertainment.
@@twiztedclown I will have to say that all 4 of the shows I've been to so far this year have been really good scoring. I'm not sure if an official is scoring and judges zone is just used for entertainment purposes but either way I was happy to see fair scores
@@twiztedclown its dumb as fuck leave it to real judges that know how to actually judge not leaving it to fans that say oh theres max d lets give him a 7 even though he only did 3 jumps and crashed in 30 seconds but another truck like zombie can do the exact same jumps the exact same run and only get a 4 FANS VOTE FOR THEIR FAVORITE they outta just make it so no one wins any points at this point because its all favorites that the fans vote for its complete idiotic it was actually fair when there was real judges

Tbh, I don't know how you chose the #1 unless you're just biased towards the driver. He spent the first 45 seconds of his run drifting around corners and pussy footing just about every jump. The last 30-40 seconds was pretty good, but IMO he should have been 3rd or 4th...most definitely 1st place lol?
Majority voted that run to be #1 . Most of the viewers on this video didn't vote so if you have a different opinion all good. Hope you'll participate in the next poll! I like doing these as fan voted vids.
how much did an entry ticket cost ?
depends on the venue, cheapest is usually $35 for top seats $45-50 for middle sometimes lower and $75+ for lowest section

Not really , the seats are tarped off in case it would happen BUT there are a lot of officials that can shut the trucks off , the drivers have more safety courses nowadays and there hasnt been one since last time in the 2010s I believe

@@avengersracing i see you guys and gals, may need to turn your backflip ramp length wise, as your achieving double and posible tripple back flips the end zone is too short, plus doing a reverse flip would take extra power to flip heavy front engine

Fan voting should be all that matters for a talent contest. Having a select group as judges for talent would be quite subjective in reality.

Can someone explain me the difference between driver on 5th place and driver on 1st place? I mean... they're both just driving straight and jumping with absolute no possible way to control their cars in mid air and do something. Don't get me wrong, you need to have big pair of balls to do this sh1t and I have a lot of respect for these drivers, but I just don't get it, what is more and what is less interesting here? Everyone is doing the exact same thing.
well, i don't think the top 5 is in order, maybe the intention was to show the "5 best freestyles of 2020".
and yes, they do need a lot of skills to control the monsters (example: 2:39 ), and drifting a monster should be VERY difficult 🤣
They actually have a good amount of control mid air , brakeing brings the front down , gas brings it up. Theres a lot more technicality then to the eye of what u see. They gotta try their best to fill 2 minutes of cool and crazy or technical runs and have to try and keep a 12,000 lb monster truck on all four tires the whole time. Theres a big difference in trucks and driver's freestyles , u never know whats going to happen , something like a 2 wheel save , double consecutive backflip , etc. Most average viewers just watch a crashes video and go "wow that car and driver are dumb" but really its a huge points system , technicality , and skill to drive these
Also idrk if I put it in order its more just to grab the audiences attention , u wanted want to see "5 cool monster truck freestyles" , usually😂

ive seen much better freestyles. I've seen much more donuts, wheelies and just drivers going for it in past seasons. I mean its still good and they got some good air but no one seemed to be pushing the envelope like previous years
Just to point out , this is best freestyles part 1. I purposely didn't put every insane one in this video to save it for future videos in this series. Ive been to a bunch of shows this year and I can say that these drivers still give it 110% , pleanty of good runs this year. Thanks for the comment though I can see ur point from just watching this video.
